Thanks guys! I'm really happy with it too. The profile of the bike is so much better with the speedo down low rather than sticking up. |

I decided to post a few pics of my Blast in its latest pre-racing configuration: a) Because there aren't any decent pictures of my Blast here. b) Because I finally figured out how! Not pretty, but streetable for testing & tuning. (Message edited by ezblast on October 06, 2005) |

Good work Erik, look forward to seeing it when you have decided it is a finished product... |

What is that exhaust like?? I see you had to eliminate the side stand (I'd guess you have to for racing anyway??). Nice brace back to the motor too. Nice job on those rear-sets too. I can see why you didn't need the banke kit anymore. With the pegs slightly higher, the reversed shifter looks to be just right. I always worried the shifter would have to be longer to reach, and then the throw would increase, but with the pegs up I guess it doesn't. |

Finished? I dont think it'll ever be 'finished'! Like a cameleon, it changes as needed. It just turned out that I'd have to drill the heck out of the Bankes to get what I needed. The shifter side plate wasnt big enough for the extra exhaust brackets and the Banke shifter wouldnt go high enough. I'd also planned to put the pegs in a different location that wouldnt have worked with the Bankes at all. The kickstand did have to come off for racing, so it wasnt any big deal and saved a bunch of weight taking it off.The exhaust is straight through, with no discs, slightly louder than the Pro Series at mid to full throttle and sounding a lot like a Harley! The shifter is a Storz item retailing for about $90 , shorter than the stocker and will work forwards or backwards (although it looks a little funky forward, the toe peg ends up in the stock location, 1" back). |

And the bike is slowly turning Black so you can go even faster! Thus the dark side grows! - lol - great work Erik (and James?) - totally tight - do you have the Storz stock number by any chance? - for people with small feet that would be a good option - as well as for racing - lol - GT - JBOTDS! EZ, I think that we're going to paint it yellow, so Erik can easily tell me apart from the other guys on the track! I think I helped out a littlr so far with some safety wiring, but all te credit really belongs to Erik. James |

I think I posted the Storz part # number in a previous email about it (a month ago maybe?). Heading out for the weekend in minutes so ask me when I get back on Monday. |

Swampy, The Pipe is different, I haven't put too many miles on it, but it is not as responsive down low as I thought it would be. Top end on the other hand is excellent. The bike is going to the Dyno next week, so we'll know more about how the pipe affects power then. James |

James, My bike is just the opposite. Mine has much better low to mid-range but seem to have loast a bit on top. But top was least of my worries. Never get that fast on Dragon. John |

Naustin, You're bike is looking really cool - it looks much much longer and lower than a stock Blast. Keeping the passenger pegs is a nice touch, good work!!! James |

Naustin, Which type of spray paint did you use to paint that silver piece right underneath the seat and the bars that holds the pegs? How many coats, etc? Your bike is da shisnit. |

I didn't do it because I wanted to look into an aluminum pulley cover or something. |

Mmelvis: We were going to bend one up from some thin sheetmetal, thinking that it would be really heat resistant, but we had one donated to us. It was a bit cracked and required a lot of trimming, but it works and was the right price. James (Message edited by jprovo on October 07, 2005) |
