Microlon: As to the posts in "Racing the Blast",if noone has noticed Microlon does not advertise.and they were not the one running the tests they have on their site.one of the tests in from the department of energy. I agree on the other treatments others have mentioned. I first tried the microlon products on my firearms(a gun is cheaper to replace than an engine) and noticed on a gas operated semi automatic rifle my carbon build-up was reduced by over 80% and cleanup time cut in half.After that I tried in my Mazda B4000 4x4.Treated engine, trans, transfer case,both differentials, and power steering.I had been documenting fuel mileage for every tank of fuel and have picked up approx 8-10%. | ||

While I dont discount your success, many are leary about using any product that may do more harm than good in the long run.Some products have caused problems at rebuild time, other oil (with additives or other wise) have tested too slick and will cause ball bearings to slide rather than roll (most auto engines use shell bearings where this wouldnt be a problem). Its a good topic especially with so much 'snake oil' out there. Unfortunately a money back guarantee sounds good for a $50 engine treatment, but will they pay for your engine? (this is a general statement about additives and not about Microlon, of which I have no experience.) | ||

Gearhead, Understand caution.I am in the process of contacting some people who have used it in aircraft engines to see how i't done with the ball bearings in their piston engines.will post when I have more info. Was'nt trying to get anything bad started just thought that since some of the others here are going to race the Blast this would be something to look at. Also as for some of the skepticism,I only know of minimal advertising by Microlon and that was for their Gunjuice firearm treatment. And the tests were not performed by Microlon but other places. And I'm like you guys,I'm not very trusting of a product that has to do the major advertising blitz and infomercials. | ||

Dredging up an old thread here ... I've used Seafoam on my past few cars with great results. I've added it through the brake booster hose as well as adding to the gas tank, and it cleans valves/injectors, etc. well. Has anyone here tried it on the Blast? Does anyone foresee issues in adding it to the tank? | ||
