Kyuss, I think there is still only Buell shops out there. I know there is one in Paris, France and somewhere in Germany I think. There is also one in California and one back east somewhere not sure where though. Have to ask the locals. They were in Battle Twin magazine some years back. I will try to look them up for you if I can.. |

Blake, I'm not scraping the sprocket itself. I'm scraping the sprocket cover( my fault ). I can't use all of my tire before I hit the cover in a corner. This leaves me with a half-inch of the tire that I could be using . Plus part of the belt gaurd is hitting. I don't mind draging the peg's, but it will scare the living sh!t out of you when you fell the rear wheel lift up. Maybe its time to go to a bigger bike, or figure out a way to put a smaller sprocket on the bike. |

Spooky, Maybe I'm missing something here. I've seen a Blast drag pegs being run in Battle Trax at Daytona last year. The tires on that particular P3 were worn to the edges. The muffler scraped a few times too. I don't recall anything near the sprocket protruding enough to drag. Is this dragging "sprocket cover" something other than stock that you added to the bike? Or did you possibly mount a lower profile tire on the rear? |

Blake- The Blast has a sprocket cover from the factory. It's really well integrated and looks like it's just part of the sprocket. Spooky- Is there any chance you're just running an obscenely low pressure in the rear? I think you'll find lots of people who scrape their REAR SETS before they scrape the sprocket. Anyway... -Saro |

Watch it there Dan! My Extremely Fast and Nimble Sunfire Yellow Blast with Flames kicks ass in my book, and I'm not a girl. At least the bathroom I use says Men on it last time I checked. I get lots of looks when I go riding on my Extremely Fast and Nimble Sunfire Yellow Blast with Flames with my yellow jacket and yellow helmet. You should see my psuedo rain suit!! No one ever has trouble seeing me and the little kids all think I'm really cool. Hell, I had to sign an autograph at Battle Trax for a little guy even though I was sucking pretty bad that day. It was really quite flattering. Your wife will love the Blast and tell her welcome to the "Blastards" club when you surprise her. Jerry |

Does anyone have a pic of the rear of a Blast? Straight on from the rear, leaning optional, any color, black&white even. |

I'm running 36psi in the rear tire and 32psi in the front, I check the pressure two times a week. I moved the belt away from the egde of the sprocket cover and to my suprise there was a space of about 1/4 inch or so, I'll get the dealer to look at it next week. They may have done something wrong when they did the recall on it last year |

I had a few friends at work help me lower my bike today and what we found was that at the point that the sprocket touches there is almost no tire ( 1/4-1/2" ) on the pavement and my footpeg was lifted a touch. I don't think I'll ever get that low on my own. |

Xgecko, I'm still running the Dunlop's that came on the bike when it was new. I've got about 600 miles on the bike now. For a bike thats 2 years old that not much. It had 250 miles on it when I got it last year around the first of December. It sat in the basement all winter, then April 4th I had my accident at work. I lost part of my middle finger and some of my tendens in my other fingers got damaged. Since last Thursday I've put close to 350 miles on the bike. Are the Avon's or Perrile's any wider then the Dunlops. I think it's time to call Buell and let them know of my problem. |

Ordered the Pirelli's today. They were 58.00 for the front and 70.00 for the rear. I was going to buy just the rear in a Dunlop but it was 102.00. Should be on them in a couple of days. Let you know what I think about them. I am hoping they are better then the Dunlops. Even my race tires on the old S-1 were good for 4,500 miles. I don't understand how the Blast Dunlops are good for 2,500 miles. |

RD350: Pirellis are better. They don't last a whole lot longer, but they hold the road more comfortably. My 'lop lasted about 3000 miles. The Pirelli passed 4000, but I'm a bit lower on the tread than I should be. |

Blast and Crossroads parts for sale - check post over on the classifieds. Yellow S2, very low miles, called my name last night at the dealer, sitting there on consignment whispering "sit on me, ride me, women really love a bigger man<h<h%H bike" If I could keep both I would, but I can't, so up for sale it goes. |

Mike, thanks - I realized a few minutes ago I forgot to post the parts in the proper place, but I figured their might be someone out there that wanted it with the bars and rearsets intact, so . . . I guess you can understand as much as anyone the allure of the S2, huh? Soon as I can afford it I'm getting another Blast, though. Fun bike. Maybe I'll look for a wreck next year so I can have some fun with it without spending large dough. |

Kyuss, MAW price is $36+$43=$79 for a set of Pirelli MT75's for a Blast. MAW quoted me a total of $104.70 shipped to my door, they confirmed that they charge no sales tax except for shipments within Clorado. So the total shipping & handling charge is (in round mumbers) $105-$79=$26, which is much closer to what I recall paying them for shipment of a set of tires for my M2 last year. Either you are VERY near their facility or are confused about the price of shipping tires. |

Don't know about the tires, but I just ordered my wife a new Bell helmet and a friend a THH from them, and the shipping was as stated 4%. I remember reading the $4.95 minimum, but it did not apply. I am real close to them though (3 hours) Jim |
