May sound funny to say, but I wish I was with Josh's wife tonight.

3 Buellers in attendance but one left early to do homework (I guess Court likes homework ). Either it was a better show than Saturday, or I just paid more attention. |

ok ok, that's fellow Bueller DaveT's "friend" Jen above. We refused to take Dave's pic with Tommy as Dave a)isn't blonde and b)doesn't own a Buell shirt (an S1 and an S2 but no tshirt). |

Great Ready California, Tommy Castro is headed back your way. Anyone want to get a group together and make it a party, drop me a note and we'll make it happen! By the way...check out the current cover of Blues Review. How cool does it get? P.S. and I have to whisper, but snoop about the TOMMY CASTRO website....interesting, eh? Court |

I'm sooo PO'ed right now. Well maybe disappointed is a better word. I just finished an inspection tour that took me through Miles City, MT and was running a little ahead of schedule. So I stop at the local espresso joint for a fix and thereon the wall is a poster announcing "Tommy Castro!" Live and in person, Sunday July 10th, reserved seating only. This was on July 14th. I didn't know he would even be close to Montana, let alone 150 miles from my house (practically in my back yard in a MT sense of distance). gumble grumble. Rob |

Jim, Make sure to wear a Buell t-shirt. Get there early, he usually watches the opening act. If it's Daniel "Slick" Ballenger make sure you don't miss it. Tommy is VERY approachable. I can't wait to see him again. |

Today's local free rag. . . . haven't even read the article, but I dig the picture. It's get's added to my, relegated to the basement, "guitar art". If you don't like this picture or feel the irrepressible urge to vent an opinion before I read the article, or if you don't like the guitars I play, please feel free to post your opinion. This is the "care less" thread....if you have an opinion that varies from mine...well....good for you.

Went down to the Maritime Academy on sat afternoon and checked out Tommy and his opening band(??).I was at work so we took the fire engine down, parked right in front in a red zone and proceeded to hang out for an hour and a half--purely in the interest of public safety.Very cool venue, right along the bay in a nice open grassy area at the Maritime College.Tons of fun. |

Ok, so I am back online after the weekend and here is my report.. Lucy Angle was OK but a little too country for my taste. Tommy Castro was phenomenal. A lot of energy and great music.. Spoke to him between sets and he is a really nice guy.. If he comes to your area be sure to go see the show, you won't regret it. |

No I haven't, the thing is when I was talking to him he grabbed a tissue and asked to be excused because he was coming down with a cold. You would have never known by his stage performance. |

I was at the show in Tampa at Skippers Smokehouse. Was down there on travel for the weekend without internet. Couldn't stay for the whole show but Tommy was awesome!!! I looked for other Buellers but didn't see any branded ones in the crowd. The venue was packed to the gills though. The opening act was Lucy Angel, they too were awesome, if you just looked at them and made very sure not to listen to the music they played. I like country music that was not the problem. They were, lets just say tonically challenged. But they make a great album cover I saw Tommy in Sommers Point, NJ, on a waterfront park outside on a sandy beach. Mellow relaxing blues music. This show was totally opposite. Packed bar, plenty of libations, pulled pork and alligator ribs. You could feel the energy from the crowed and Tommy basked in it. His guitar was loud and clear and his vocals husky and precise. You could not even tell it was the same artist I sow on the beach. This guy rocked the place. Awesome, Awesome show!! Visited the merchandise stand and picked up a shirt and the latest CD. The salesman saw my shirt and said, "Hey Buell, There one of our sponsors you know", I responded matter of factly, "Yeah, I know. Nice to see you". Wish I could have met up with other fellow fanatics while I was in town. Suggest anyone see The Tommy Castro Band when they converge on a neighborhood near you. |

I was ill behaved last night. . . Tonight it's off to Mike and Cathy's living room to listen to 4 young artists till 9:30, the ti Birdland for the 11:00PM Django show. I am a musical Ho! Hey. . is Castro about the most energetic LIVE performer you have ever seen. His Somers Point, NJ appearance was not his type of venue and a totally uncharacteristic performance. Tommy BELONGS in a smoky bar! |

Right you are Court. I saw Tommy in his native environment. Suffice it to say I was not dissapointed. I am also the proud owner of a long sleeve black Soul Shaker T-Shirt. |

Josh, THANKS! As I sit here I am letting Soul Shaker rattle thru the noggin. Gotz to seez this man live. Stirring, simply stirring tunes. Just like the first time I saw Kid Johny Lang in a bar. Before he became a big time type. Now I need to fire up the system and listen to some Jayhawks(early stuff) and Tina and the B-Side movement. |

Soul Shaker was the one in the mail today. its going in the deck in the truck, well at least a copy of it. The original hits the twin 300 changers. Got to love it when I hit random play it really is random. Not telling what you will get. One might start with Alvin Lee and the next could be a gutshot from Motorhead. With a follow on Cash or Commander Cody. Never know what or which. The best part is, no repeats till it has played every track once.
