Ferris: Another great California "road moment" was when I sneaker into the state without Joseph Gaspard, Lorraine and Co. knowing it, hid alongside the highway (they'd foolishly published the route of their ride and the times they'd meet folks along the way) on a Black 1996 S-1 clad in my Blue Aerostich and Yellow "BM" (Buell Man) cape. As the group passed, on a long straight, I came out behind them, built up a head of steam, and blew past them in triple digits. I got about a 1/4 mile ahead, stabbed the rear brake and brought the bike to a screeching halt, jumped off and held my hand, standing in the middle of the road, high in the air. I stopped him and told him I was "the man from Buell" (see the Dave Swift "we get visited by the Buell" article with the bulldozer in Jackson, WY to teach Harrison Ford that there are more motorcycles in the world than just BMW's) and my mission was to intercept and get riders off foreign motorcycles wherever I found them! Those were, and are, a great bunch of folks and some great memories. |

The "Hammer is in town and the Hammer is DOWN!" Hitting the streets of Gotham today...meeting Dick and Family later. Jimmy Dale, the "Prince" kicks off the show with Dad coming on to clean up. I'll be with one of my OLD Buell buds who has been commissioned by C. F. Martin Guitars to do something quite special. Me?...suck?....hey, don't say I didn't invite you.

It looks like they're going to try to do a real-life test of "The Princess and the Pea." I wonder if they bought the van for the sole purpose of hauling all those mattresses. It's got a temp tag on it. That's one way to break in a new (to them) vehicle. Or maybe there's 23 people inside waiting to stop and sleep...

Jst, It's a PA tag. The sheet of paper in the back window is the temporary "sticker."

Didn't want to clog the auction site, but does anyone else remember what they used to give you JUST to come test ride a Buell? Couldn't get rid of all the shirts, so the ones that never got the "Buell Ride 95" amblozoned, were used and imprinted with the "1,000 Buell Made" shirts for the party at the factory. Somehow I ended up with the left overs. Even though the first S-2 shirts were arranged so that if you tucked them in the BUELL was hidden (I suspect foul play in the art dept) they are still some of my favorite Buell shirts. Court

No I am not cleaning house....just know that there are lots of old S2 fans and wandering if you'd all seen some of the original shirts. Anyone recall the ones that I gave away on the Lap of America? Mike Hilman, VP of Buell Distributiuon, send me 500L and 500XL. I gave all but two of them away. They were gray with Buell down the front and I always kept a dozen in the saddlebags. These were the days before the HD style folks commandiered Buell fashion.

Very cool Court, Wish there was a way to get some of the neat old T-shirts reprinted. I'd buy the one above in a second. Brad |

Could be an interesting day. . . I am sitting in the lobby waiting for a 9:00AM meeting and took this at 8:44AM. Not sure where all 23 cars of these guys were going but I think I'll wait till they are done.

I think it's the Construction Permit Police, headed for Queens...they got an anonymous tip about some non-union electrical work being done in a certain residence. rt |

HEY! rt, mum's the word. Trying to keep a low profile here. But I *did* learn that 12-3 is not nearly enough for an electrical stove my electrician nearly doubled over laughing. I tried not to take it personally. But speaking of ... wonder if it's to NYC code to put a bathroom exhaust fan right above the tub/shower?? Henrik |

Henrik 12-3 is more than enough for a circuit to a stove......Just got to make sure the stove runs an natural gas or propane......Hey it can not take more that 20 amps to run the touch pad and clock can it? DAVE |
