Dudes...I ended up, quite by accident, with a spanking new copy of the DVD. I guess, from what I am told, that you can buy players for DVD's but I don't have one. I'm going to take it to the orfice, watch it while they think I am working and I'll send it to Sir Thang in TX. Where he sends it from there is up to him....I'll put my name and address on the thing and hopefully by the time it gets back these DVD thingies will have come down in price to where us blue collar constuction types can wrangle one of them.... Jeez,Court, a DVD player costs about 69.99 now so you have no excuse. You can even get a machine that plays video tapes and DVD's so you don't have to make room.Come to the light----- |

>>>a DVD player costs about 69.99 You gotta be kidding...that's nearly $100!! I'll send it to Thing....he likes it, I'll have him send it back. In the meantime, I'll have time to make friends with someone who owns one. Maybe we can work a deal...they let me come over and watch the DVD and I let them come over to see the high tech gadget I got last week. Things called a "Microwave" and boils water in a matter of seconds. What will they think of next? Court (Others have ridden further, some are wiser, none are cheaper) |

Court, I saw a DVD/MP3 player this week at Wally World (WalMart) for $29.99!!! No more excuses! I even have one in the Crisis Center, right under my $30 VCR! You have to be able to pop in a copy of On Any Sunday whilst spending time on ones milk crate! |

>>>I saw a DVD/MP3 player this week at Wally World (WalMart) for $29.99!!! Do you suppose that once they start to catch on the price will drop? If so, do they take 8-Track tapes in trade? Ok...ok....I'll see what I can find.

"I'll send it to Thing....he likes it, I'll have him send it back." There's just one teensy little problem with that--if I like it, I'm liable to keep it! rt |

"Clapton and Buddy "Damn Straight I Got The Blues" Guy would be an act that would stun and silence nearly ANY crowd. " Can't believe you wrote that. I was aware of Buddy Guy's influence on musicians and knew about his reputation for stunning audiences with his live shows, but whenever I saw him on TV, he was always kind of kidding around on stage with whoever he was playing with. Well, I saw him last year at the Portland Blues Festival and he did indeed stun the huge outdoor crowd into silence with his performance of, "I Wish It Would Rain". It wasn't just his virtuosity on the guitar that did it... he also has a great voice. He could make the crown do anything he wanted: roar, quiet down, sing along, and cry. Amazing. He played most of the show with a Telecaster, btw. The polka-dot Strat made a special guest apperance, though, and got it's own applause! |

By the way. . . . not sure how you feel about "Un-American Russian" products, but that's not just ANY Telecaster either.

Buddy Guy ROCKS! Saw him several consecutive Blues festivals in San Diego. Always the best performance, even with the likes of B.B. King in the line-up. |

Saw him in his own place in Chicago. Wow doesn't even begin to cover it... Also saw Bobby Rush play there. Very cool show. I wish I had gotten Clapton tickets for the Mpls show. They sold out in less than 4 hours. Derek Trucks is one of his band members. Going to be an awsome show.... Brad |

Brad: I assume you've listened to SOUL SERENADE? If not, please do before the concert. Derek Trucks is his own show! Court P.S. - let me know if Clapton uses a Dave Cornell amp. . . I'm having major lust issues at the moment. |
