Court it's Terry Parsley, AKA Buell Dyno Guy. It's just two weeks before we head to Bonneville to run the Blast. We have found an on-line outfit to make some T shirts and would like to use an image of the cube on the salt. They will have JT&S Performance on the front. And on the back the text on top to say "Worlds Fastest Coffee Table" and below it would say "Long Live The Blast." Not a fund raiser or anything, just us trying to having some fun for our team this year. However if we get a thumbs up and posted the link to Zazzle on Bad Web they could be ordered on-line by any who desired. Not looking for a sign off by legal, just a thumbs up from the only guy who counts? BTW this has to be one of the same Blast that he talked about in the video. I still have the tank cover he signed when I stopped off on my way to Laconia from HD Buell of Vallejo. Terry - www.jtsperformance.com |

Terry - I think you have a winner, there. The Supreme Court of the United States stated that parody "is the use of some elements of a prior author's composition to create a new one that, at least in part, comments on that author's works." That commentary function provides some justification for use of the older work. See Campbell v. Acuff-Rose Music, Inc. I'd say you could get away with making that shirt. I doubt that Buell would see it as a threat, and more importantly they'd likely not want to take that to court for the bad press it would generate. http://www.publaw.com/parody.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parody#Copyright_issu es Sign me up for a shirt when you make those! |

Me, too. My coffee table just got 61 mpg in hard city driving. Rock on, Basic Bike Formerly Known as a Buell! |

Starting to get a feel for it. 80mpg is right around the corner.
Figures I wreck my XB when I was just getting good. I still wish I was logging a long time ago and recorded that 75mpg tank.

This is an on line process and we designed a JT&S Performance shirt for this Bonneville trip. It looks like we are going to order two of each quality and they have a one day turn time. The cost is less than $20 for a two sided color shirt. So if the two we get are OK, we simply have them make our shirt available and post the order link. This is about having some fun and showing some support. Terry - JT&S Performance |

I'll take one. My coffee table may not be the fastest but it just took a 5,000 mile trip from Florida to Ontario and back. Sucked to be on such a high from the trip only to see that advertisement on the inside of the first motorcycle mag I picked up when going through vacation mail. Although it in no way changes my opinion about what that bike is capable of. |
