Court... No one has seemed to actually answer the question when I ask. How is the rear suspension on the M2L different from the M2, or is it just seat? I would assume that the front bracket is a bit different, but I'm not quite sure. Thanks!! Wilson |

Front forks were different, seat was different, and IIRC the rear shock was different as well. But I do not have quite the literature library (as in parts books) that others do... This is all from my memory. Which might be a little fuzzier than normal after a trip to the bar after a wake for a colleagues wife, 1313 |

Brankin's memory is god except he missed the L0167.0101A4YT . . . . . he'd have never done this with a clear memory.

How could I forget the sidestand (kickstand, or jiffystand or whatever you refer to it in your vernacular)? Thankfully I've never forgotten to put the sidestand down, or pull it up, at the appropriate time however... Although the V-Rod's sidestand did decide to fold up while I was doing some grocery shopping once. The announcement over the PA - 'Whoever owns the silver Harley in the parking lot, your bike has fell over.' I think to myself 'Most people don't realize a V-Rod is a Harley, so they can't be talking about my bike'. Until I got out to the parking lot and saw it laying on it's left side. With the forks locked, the only 'damage' was a little scuffing on the left side leather bag and some fine scratches in the left mirror. A resultant call to HARLEY Customer Service demonstrated that they are much worse than my experiences with Buell Customer Service. 1313 |

Yes yes...I don't know why, but I just went through the parts manual and found all of those you talk about. Now, I need to find a Blazing Orange regular length side stand since I'm raising the M2L to M2 height. Thank you guys, now I know that the shock is was is different for the rear. What makes the shock different, a little bit longer length? (Message edited by brinnutz on March 23, 2009) |
