No reason any dealer couldn't get them for you pronto . . . they'll leave Buell the day they receive the order. Why would it take weeks? I'll check to make sure they are in stock. | ||

My dealer often tells me a week to account for possible delays. Realistically its 4 days tops for something that isn't on back order. | ||

Court it would be nice if there was something with pictures and part numbers of all the decals available for all models. The current accessory catalogue only has some of the decals on the 09s. | ||

I think I'd just ask the dealer, when I spoke to them, when the order will be placed. They'll likely ship from Buell the same day. Just shouldn't be any problem. Like I say, if they were ordered the day this thread started they'd likely be on the bike today. | ||

Court, It has been awhile since you and I discussed this topic, but if you remember back about 3 years ago, I gave you information about parts ordering here in Wisconsin (dealers/counter personnel) and the fact I was told by multiple dealers that my order would not even be processed for three days so as not to give the local dealers an unfair time advantage over the 'coasters. Too my knowledge, this has not yet changed, and I still see wait times for parts (for items I know for a fact are at the distribution center) of a week, minimum. Has that situation somehow, miraculously, fixed itself? | ||

Even though the distribution center has been sold . . . everybody's outsourcing, eh? . . there is not reason (beyond the walls of the dealership) that the parts should not go the same day. The original question was "without waiting WEEKS to get one?" and I qualified my response by suggesting that he make certain the dealer PLACES the order. Frankly, it's become more "electronic" and one of the 1995 era problems what that dealers wrote down Buell parts orders on a legal pad and placed the order when the pad filled up. . . in some places that seemed to be two model years later. I will soon have empirical data since I place, anonymously, orders for some myself just to gather some system performance milestones. | ||

Court, Ordered them online, figured it was easier that way and probably not gonna get them fast any way you look at it, it's snowing here so it's not like I'm gonna be riding for a while anyway  Be safe Mike | ||
