Jim: GREAT SITE. . . The DT folks have revealed the consultants. Go find one on simple common sense too. I've just read some of the posts this morning and am painfully aware of why so few folks have succeeded at starting and growing motorcycle companies. Looking forward to seeing you on the salt. Court, Speaking of motorcycle companies, did you happen to read the article about Boruget's Bike Works in the latest issue of IronWorks? If not, stop my the news stand and read it. His new manufacturing facility is incredible with all the latest goodies. Roger Bourget lives down the street from my son. Every time I drive by his freaking house I get a rock hard woody looking at the toys. He's in the process of moving into something newer and bigger but his house and lot are already outrageously huge. You wouldn't believe the size of the garage for the custom motor home and custom trailers, not to mention the other 5 garages for toys and boats (like the 37’ SeaRay Sundancer and custom Freightliner.) Must be nice doing something you love and geting paid for it. -JW:>

WOW . . . do I feel old or what? Found these while looking for an old file yesterday! The "baby on the Buell" is not 6'-4" and graduating from KU this year. Gads....

What about the baby on the Ducati? I'm guessing he's not 6'4" either! r-t (older than dirt and proud of it) |

Ahhh...the Ducati was a loaner. Traded in on a Buell it came to live at my garage for a while. Fun, but no interst in buying. Even then, this wonderful gut was "in development". Court (nearly as old as dirt, but always 2 years younger than Erik ) |

House cleaning...what the heck do you do with things like this? I have a collection from my Unclenaut who sent me one from aboard the recovery carrier or the cape with each, starting with John Glenn, shot that went up. And what the heck to do with this frickin' rock?

Get an appropriately sized picture frame with matting and put 'em on display. That is cool stuff and family related too. The rock? LOL! Use it as a counter-threat to a certain Yorkshire brick. |

Blake, You beat me to the punch! I was going to suggest matting and framing also. Court, do you have the mission patch to go with the letter? Now that would be VERY cool in a matted frame. Wow, I just did a Google search on NASA mission patches. Look what I found! You can still purchase them! Only 5 bucks! http://www.thespacestore.com/ap11mispat.html Post a picture when it's done! Brad

JW: wish I'd known, I tossed several cases of NASA internal memos and weekly press breifings from the 60's a couple years ago. Remind me in Bonneville and I'll tell you some GREAT Astronaut stories. Aunt Sandy and Uncle Craig throw the annual no-holds-barred party for the "old time" Astronauts at their place on La Quinta Golf Course in Palm Desert every year. The resultant stories are hilarious. How about a can who gets lost 7 times on a solo XC in an A36 flying an Apollo mission? Ever wonder why the long 30 minute delay for the crew to depart the shuttle on the first landing? Great stuff...I am going to have them all framed with the picture of Criag in his space suit the day his selection to the school was announced. The walls are about full! The black RS was a beauty. I have a ton of pictures, circa 1990. I'll post more when I find them. Court |
