Just wanted to know if its his first time at the show? Had a chance to deliver a bike for a friend to the show today and had my first look at the 1125r(SWEET!!!!),they have two there and the most Buells Ive ever seen at a show in T.O. Talked to the people at the Deeley's Buell/Harley display and they confirmed that Erik will be there Sat and Sun though they had no idea about the bring your key and get some swag deal? Shawn |

I'm going down to the show Saturday morning. I thought I had read somewhere here that there is no show your key program at the Canadian shows. Hope that is wrong ! |

Ahhhhh. . . now we're getting somewhere. This, to the best of my knowledge, is Erik's first trip to the Toronto IMS show. You'll have a blast and be sure to introduce yourself to him and tell him "you're nothing like Court says you are". Erik is like a kid in a candy store around bikes and enthusiastic motorcyclists. . . he'll have the time of his life! Plus . . .it means the kids will shovel the snow while he's gone. I used to go to ALL the IMS shows . . . . a different city each weekend. It was an interesting time in that there wasn't really anybody talking up the Buells at the show so I'd jump on a plane every Thursday, spend the weekend at the shows, and come back to Kansas on Sunday evenings. It was great and I met tons of wonderful people. I can't make it up this weekend, but if you'll remind me next year I'd jump at the chance to spend a weekend in Toronto. It always seems to have so many nice Canadians . . . Eh?

Court, I think someone should talk Erik into going to the Cleveland show. Its the one that most of the people from his home area around Pittsburgh go to. |

I think he should show up at the New York City Show. Then, he could join us at the Dinosaur for BBQ. Aw, hell; he should show up at All the shows. With all the spare time he's got on his hands, he could put it to good use |

Dinosaur! YEAH! That weekend in NYC is my birthday too. I'll be hitting a milestone. God! Half a century! If I'd known I was gonna live this long I would've taken far better care of myself! |

That name tag is PRICELESS! It reminds me of the time that ad agency that Harley-Davidson handled to take care of the Buell account did "all their homework" and then set up a display at the IMS show that had an FZR that said Buell on the side. No kidding . . . the doofs thought that Buell was a division of HD that made clothing and accessories. Yes. . . . I saved the poster. . . dug it out of the trash when the HD folks stashed it. Too funny! . . . you guys getting a sense of what Buell is up against in changing the dealer network? . . . I mean . . . how many years has it been?

I also think it would be great if Erik could find time to attend the Cleveland IMS show. I believe the Cleveland show has traditionally had the 2nd to 3rd highest attendance of IMS shows in the US. It also will have many people attending from Erik's old stomping grounds. The last and best reason is unlike people living in the south still riding, the snow has started to fly. People living in the north are reduced to sitting inside, reading motorcycle magazines and watching DVD's. Please throw us bone for excitement with a reason to make it thru the winter!!! |
