I'm looking to order a set of XB12R headlight bezels (stock oem). Part #'s M0064.02A8 (left) M0065.02A8 (right). According to HD Net the right side is on National backorder and due to clear 02/02, but is NOT available for order. Do you know why that is? I can order a left but not a right. Maybe there is a superceded number HD Net is not showing? Just thought I would ask, thanks man. |

Court posted a while ago that he would be extremely busy with other things for some time. You might try asking elsewhere rather than make sarcastic comments. Give the guy a break. There are several other people around here that can find the answer for you; unfortunately I am not one of them. |

Court can easily find the answer as soon as the folks who KNOW the answer return from Florida. Some of these, like the homework I'm spending the day doing for tomorrow nights civil engineering class, don't have the answers plastered up on a giant bulletin board or trailed on a banner behind a Piper Cub loitering over the Jersey Shore. . . they actually, assuming here for a moment you're wanting an accurate answer, take some doing to contact the right person to get the information. If you've a better or faster source, knock yourself out. Hey. . . wanna pay my tuition?

BeachBuell, call Crystal River 352-563-9900 or St Augustine 904-829-8782 or Treasure Coast 772-287-3871. Crystal River has the right one. St Augustine has both of them. |

Court, if I win the lottery, I'll be happy to pay your tuition for as many courses as you want to take. |

That's just his sideline job. He's a construction worker, remember. |

Wait a minute here....a construction worker that is now going back to learn civil engineering? Now that is crossing the line... |

Court with credentials, that is a scary thought. He could talk his way into and out of most anything before, he starts waving a diploma around and NYC may just disappear |

Beachbuell: did you get taken care of? There were 79 of one side and 48 of the other in stock when I checked. Just wanted to make certain you got everything you needed. Court |

As long as you're not busy . . . Alan Girdler has done alright with his Sportster and Harley Racers books. How about teaming with Dave Gess to do a Buell book for some motorsport publisher before Alan gets commissioned to do one? Maybe it will improve the price of used Buells if more motorcyclists understand what a significant breed they are. I cannot fathom how a wrung out Ironhead brings more money than an S2 on the used market. And if the book is successful, you can follow with a tome of all your teaser stories that never actually get told on this site. We all win. Just a thought. If you do it, I'll send you my copy of Harley Racers signed by Scotty Parker. |

I'm actually way ahead of you. The book will be much less about motorcycles than Buell. I'd be interested in a list of "I've just gotta knows" from folks. HD would really like me to NOT write this and, based on that, I doubt they'd commission Alan but hey . . it's a free world. They may decide they'd rather have him tell the story the way THEY want it told. Let me know if you've got ideas, you can reach me at court@canfield.net |

Great. My point on Girdler is the success of his motorsport books, having sold well. Should yours be in the same vein, it can be certainly as well accepted as his. You are naturally the author of choice. Girdler still rides his waffle iron XR on the street with our "cognocenti" 4 cam evolution motor in his modern Sportster as the alternative. Perhaps he just never groked the Buell chassis as the quintessential Yankee transport to two-wheeled nirvana. Write on. |
