Loki, If memory serves, the first FD's in Minneapolis was in Minneapois by Lake Harriet in the Linden Hills neighborhood. I prefer the Calhon Square location as it has live Blues! I've meet Dave Anderson a couple of times, interesting guy. Court, I saw the History channel show you are referring to. It was very good. Hasn't been on for a while though.. Brad} |

The 20th sounds like a good plan. There may be a late night Buell party in the works after some of the staff get off duty. We have a major event that warrants celebrating. |

Court - Henrik mentioned he was going on Friday as well. Anthony C from Liberty said he will be helping out at the Buell booth. Will you be bringing your wife? |

Legit. Am sending original factory notes and build sheet for your bike. Of note, as we approach the new dawn of American V-Twin racing, is that YOUR bike was THE (not one of the...but THE) Daytona Show Bike on display at Daytona just as Buell and Harley-Davidson were beginning to discuss a partnership. I also see we were outta owners manuals when the bike shipped. Let me know if you got one. It appears that your bike is one of the FEW RS models that had the oil temperature guage on it. ....more than rare. By the way, we forgot to add it on the sales price. You owe us $26.39 for the gauge, $2.82 for the wiring harness and $9.04 for the sending unit. Git over to www.davegess.com and buy a picture and we'll call it even. Court P.S. - Henry Duga made a special little modification to your bike. No charge. (Message edited by court on January 29, 2006) |

Hey, Court, as long as you're digging up interesting historical tid-bits, what can you tell me about these sets of initials inside the bodywork of my S2? And what's the deal with these sideplates--no provision for passenger pegs, and the mount for the master cylinder looks kinda home-made, but the plates themselves don't look like they were cut down. Could they have come from another model, or are they rare and valuable? I need to know before I make a chopper out of it... rt |

RT,they are obviously flawed and should be removed and sent to me for proper disposal,I might even have proper replacements for you. P.S. show us the other side, they look like they are off an RS |

Any hint on the Duga special little mod? Ordered a print from Father Gess and await its arrival. Should look good beside the S2T(signed of course) and S1W prints.

Uh. . . anyone around? Good. Guys I'm here to tell ya. . . don't take no guff from those women folk. Today, as I sit here, intent on helping the oppressed Bull owners about the world, the SCU comes up and mutters "either wear these damn t-shirts of throw them away". Talking that way to me? . . . who the heck does she think she is? I don't take that from no one, 'specially not a 5'-0" Italian chick! So I tells her. . . "Mamma, git on your wash clothes and get to work! " Turns out there were more shirts, like a couple hundred more, than she'd planned on so I’ll have to use our swanky dinner reservations tonight by myself. . . there's no way she'll be done in time. I told her she should have thought of this long ago and not allowed my aging, faded and full of holes Buell shirts to fall into such disrepair. Next time, if she wants dinner, she'll keep my bikes serviced, polished and my shirts clean!

NEWS FLASH - NEW YORK CITY - - - - - This just in. quote:Long time Buell rider and customer advocate Court Canfield appears to have been seriously injured in a domestic accident earlier today. Canfield was found in a pile of dirty Buell t-shirts apparently pinned beneath a crumpled Maytag 2609 7 cycle washer. At press time hospital officials were uncertain as to weather Canfield's injuries were due to blunt force trauma from the impact of the washing machine or from having his lungs filled with Clorox. Mrs. Canfield was enjoying dinner at a swanky Manhattan eatery and unavailable for comment.

>>>but the size of the fight -- you're outgunned! Someone asked me once "just how feisty could a person that small be?". I laughed and said "think 5'0" 100# woman's basketball star". . . that tell you anything? She also gained Wall Street notoriety when a big bond issue was at risk of getting bogged down and not issued in time. The gal who introduced us, at the time President of Oppenheimer, summoned Vick who was attending Madame Butterfly at the Metropolitan Opera. The way Sue tells the story she hit the conference room, all 5' of her, in a full length mink, started crawling on the table looking at documents, looked up and said "everyone here who's an attorney raise your hands". Now. . . everyone with you hand up . . . LEAVE. Bonds were issued at daybreak. I know better than to fight Prospect Avenue's long time stick ball champ. Barb wire? . . . er, uh . . . I'm currently on "power tool probation". It's a long and ugly story, Erik can tell you that one. I love being in a business where you can bring 4th of July home from work. |
