Anyone experienced a throttle stuck wide open on a '99 X-1? Anyone had the return throttle cable come loose? Could these be related? Is this why Buell added a cable clamp on the 2000 models? This is/can be a serious problem.

It was a problem (I'll let others expand on that), it happened to me once (pretty scary) and it will not happen again if you buy and install the little clamps:

So those clamps are available without a carburator and bike attached now? Good.
