Hello Everyone...Right on...It was the O2 sensor...I replaced and light no longer come on...Lets Ride...I do have one more question. On the way home sitting at a red light, you give it a quick throttle burst and it would spit at you or sounded like it was sucking some air...Kinda weird...Any thoughts...I purchased the Official Factory Manual today...This thing has got some great stuff in it...Thanks for your help everyone...Gary / A.K.A. It'd be a pretty good buy. Challenges will be steep, not impossible. I have a tough time, with an RS buying into the "WFO slid me off the seat" but the RS is a fun and rewarding bike to ride. For the record, it's NOT a fun bike to push uphill on the Kansas Turnpike in July when you run out of fuel. . . there is no place to stick your helmet on the bike and the folks, the same ones you just blew by at triple digits, make you feel bad by blowing their horns and flipping you off. One of my favorites colors. . . basically the same as JANICE without the custom smoke over lettering. By the way, I'd be interesting to see the VIN, that MAY be the last RS (and "old" Buell) ever built. If I had the VIN I['d know who built it and where it fit into the scheme of things. Court | ||

That's an accurate statement. The Thunderbolts will be headlining their 2005 World "Play it like you stole it" world tour on 9-24-05 at Liberty HD/Buell. Just finishing the shirt design now. In addition, the Buell Demo Truck will be on hand. If you want to take the keys from Erik, that'd be the day. One dude is getting his Ulysses keys from Erik that day, no reason you can't join in. It's coming up on 9:03AM, the moment the second plane hit the World Trade Center. It's been and interesting 4 years here in New York City. Like many New Yorkers, my life was changed. I greeted the day with a guitar sitting in the sunrise, looking at the void where the Twin Towers had been. Since the day I was shot 3 times in 1970, I've lived with a certain amount of apprehension about certain things. I suppose that driving, each day, across the longest suspension bridge in the US and through the longest tunnel in the US, each guarded by folks with automatic weapons, only serves to perpetuate and make more difficult to heal, scars I've long carried. I want a lot of things, but nothing more than to be able to enjoy my life and friends in peace and for my children to live in peace. Paul: It should and your personal 9-11-01 tale, as well as the one of Australian Prime Minister John Howard's, avery most interesting. 17 hours in a power plant yesterday, but snapped this on the way home. I was quite surprised to see no board chatter about 9-11-01 on the board. . . . it's changed all our lives in a way few can imagine.  Most immediately, there was an onlooker gazing at the lights from the VNZ last night and we ended up with a car vs. jack-knifed tractor trailer in the middle of the bridge. Traffic backed up for 30 miles into New Jersey and, of course, (thinking it was an intentional diversion) folks in HumVees with shoulder fired rocket launchers responded. I sat in the front yard and shot photos of the bridge. Court  | ||

Thanks. My son was going to NYU at the time. His usual morning was to take the subway to the WTC and jog back to the dance studios at the college. That day he started 30 min earlyer for some reason. Got off the subway at the WTC took his jogging route and arrived just after plane #1. The doorman of the school building pointed and said hey the WTC is on fire. I will let you go to the roof to get a better look. He then watched as the second plane hit. He called on his cell phone and spoke to me and said that I would not believe what he saw. I told him that it was all over the news. Later he called and told me some of the other things he saw which will have a lasting impression on him. We then lost contact with him for 48 hours. This kid has been witness to 9/11, the Tsunami in India and the Exxon Valdez oil spill. (He went on an over flight a couple of days after with me.) He says he has seen enough to last a life time. | ||

Court -- thanks, as always, for the gorgeous shots -- the events hit all of us in varying ways, and the ripples from that day havn't really settled down I suspect that some of the lack of chatter round 9/11 may be due to some folk's natural tendancy to mourne in private -- while not fashionable, and many professionals from the left coast will tell ya it's unhealthy as well, lots of folks just tend to ride out the feelings on their own, rather than in groups nuthin wrong with either, sez me -- what ever gets you through, yes? thanks again | ||

" NO if you wher half fotographer the dumpster would have been framed in the centre of the picture and a close up of the fare inside said dumpster would have been even better. Instead we just get a tease with a small glimps in shadows to the right of frame that may or may not be a dumpster. Did you get light up and questioned while taking this picture as is your normal form mate. | ||

BBQ!!!!!!!!!! 25 years of life in Kansas City turned me into a BBQ-holic. I seek them out. Had a lunch at FAMOUS DAVE'S BBQ on Long Island (Zeckendorf Blvd) earlier this week. Great place, started in Iowa. Was in San Diego this summer and found this beauty.  | ||

actually.... Mr. Famous D is based out of Minnetonka Minnesota. FD is a staple during the Taste Of Minnesota gig. Which is near the place(Mound, Mn) that brought you the Famous T. As in the Tonka Trucks we all loved as little ones. Tripp, try this one. I hadn't been in a FD for a couple years. I was toolin through Annapolis and hit a red light. Flipped the visor up and caught a familar odor on the breeze. After a quick head swivel to discern direction....Took an immediate right and there it was, a Famous Daves. Walked in and sat down at the bar. Just like home. After perusing the the relics of my youth, for a bit. The barkeep asked if I wanted a menu. Of course I turned it down and just ordered a full rack of St. Louis style and fries with a very cold beer. I was asked if I had been in before. Had to say no to that one. Got the quizzical look of how did I know the menu. As an aside just mentioned that it reminded me of home. Also that I had eaten in one of his first joints many a night. Still favor the shop on West 7th in St.Paul. | ||

Tripper: I used to sit for hours and watch the jets landing and departing from North Island Naval Air Station. I had a great view from Coronado, but it was also fun to watch from Point Cabrillo where I used to run quite a bit. I confess a fascination with carriers and still regret, periodically, my "thumbs down" to the opportunity to go to Pensacola for primary flight training in the USMC. One of my friends has about as many arrested landings as anyone alive. When I was in the Marines, we used to go hang out on the Enterprise when it was in port. Those were the days you could just walk on (the haircut pretty well "identified" you) and wander about. I'm betting that has changed. Something about carrier ops that is additive to watch. For one of the best documentaries on them, you'd need to see the 1-hour documentary piece one of my riding buds did for the History channel. . . It was Ultan Guilfoyle and I think it was "Carrier Task Force". Of note, signature Ultan, is the highly prohibited opening shot, which was filmed (again highly prohibited) from a borrowed (oops, prohibited again) military helo. There could be a major event in this area next year. |
