For the sole purpose of satisfying those who've asked to know "what's it like now?" and to force Brooke to bring her husband to New York City..... Tom: This look like the Heartland?. . . . For the sake (the news service tends to cover more dramatic and leave the mundane alone) of letting you know what "Ground Zero" is like at this moment.... The City of New York has done a splendid job of providing a very nice viewing arrangment that consists of heavy guage steel mesh. The names of all the innocent victims are memorialized..... There are "stations" along it's length that chronicle the Twin Towers from when the idea was conceived to the day they were destroyed. The area is sensitive, allows wonderful "up close" access and a chance for folks from arond the country and around the world to pay their respects, satisfy their curiousity and try, if for a moment, to gain a sense of the magnitide of what occured on that day...... By the way....there's much MORE to see. You can not IMAGINE the security around this place.....try walking down the street with a camera bag There are over 1,000 Museums in this town and THIS one doesn't give samples If the images don't go with the pics, you figuire it out. Posting under "hostile" considtions. |

Court....While I still prefer Chicago, I have to admit that New York is one kick ass town. You wouldn't catch me dead living there I still like my small towns. Thanks for posting some great pic Broadcasting from the Newport of the West, Mennis |

Mennis: Through good fortune, I've seen 44 of these states from the seat of a Buell....I've yet to see one I don't have a special affinity for. New York, as I am learning Amsterdam mimicks, is a collection of small villages.....I roamed downtown, Little Italy, Chinatown, Chelsea and ended up in Midtown today. Court |

I got to see it rising over beautiful Geneva Lake. I wish I had my camera with me. It was a great moon rise. When the weather is better (i.e. May-September), we have monthly moon cruises. It entails a bunch of boats, booze & music. We barge-up on the lake and watch the moon rise over the water. It makes for a rough morning at work the follow day |

Always pretty here with the water in the foreground and the ships silouetted against Manhattan, the Statue of Libery and the city skyline. Hey...look what I found in Ann Lander's this morning...... "that's right MotoDude7, when seeking to gain market share a motorcycle company is well advised to ignore proven and validated methods of planning and excuting that entry and high tail it to the internet to get a snapshot glimpse of what real world riders want and then high tail it back to a secret location, dump in about $100M, shoot from the hip and hope for the best....I mean, these are bikers not well educated folks from Cal Berkley or nuttin'"
