Thanks Tony. We're dealing ok. As many have told me, I won't "get over it", but will learn to live with it. It sorta goes in waves - some days are good, others suck. It's tough on my dad; he's having a hard time being alone in an empty house. My sisters visit and call, and he and his best friend (from 1st grade : )) have firm habit of calling each other every other day. But still.

Hi Debbie - too long no see : )

Thank you for your kind note. Memories certainly will get better, but my mom made sure even the "original" ones are pretty darn good. She spent her last days and energy making sure all things were said and all the last questions were answered to the best of her and our abilities. For that I will be eternally grateful - we were indeed blessed.

Meant to say something earlier. Very sorry for your loss. I just got back from a ceremony at Arlington Cemetery for my friend’s Mom, with an Honor Guard, 21 gun salute and right down the hill from the Amphitheater.

Was telling another friend (who also lost her Mom recently) that I lost my Mother over ten years ago and that it’s one of the worst things we have to go through in this life.

My deepest condolences and take care.
