Come on Court....give it up..!!!!You can't let us stew all winter!!.............................................posted on "EBOZ thread............... on Tuesday, November 01, 2005 - 10:24 am: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Come on Court....whatever it is CAN'T go against the Motherships secrecy policy.....I mean it's NOT a new bike their announcing.....so.... let the Cat out!!!!We ALL would like something from Buell to pine over during the winter months and we'de rather here it from Erik than from some Rag editor or Spy picture person. If Buell is putting more into racing this year then SAY SO!And if you DON'T than we'll know that there is a new effort to race from HARLEY and that means they've reworked the VR frame with some of ERIK'S ideas and stuffed a pumped up V-ROD motor into it.Either way it's a WIN-WIN situation if you let us get behind it early!!!!So,Blake....do you think we could muster up some money for Shawn on a new VR??????..........Or better yet an XB12SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!! |

There's probably going to be some people get peeved about the "I've got a secret" game, and there's going to be some who are thankfull for the secrecy. I've come to the camp of believing that if it's none of my business then I don't need to know even though my natural curiosity wants to know. But knowing this I won't make any plans based on rumors of something that may or may not take place, as has not happened several times in the past. Rumors of new bike unveiling where people made plans to be at the place of rumored unveiling, only to find nothing happening and to later be told the unveiling had to be postponed for some reason or another - peeved people. If someone says something will be there, then put it there even if it's a mockup, or don't say it will be there and then only have a vacant parking lot for people to spit sunflower seed shells into. If this is about some racers changing camp, then maybe there are still negotiations taking place, in which case someone shouldn't even be saying to be there. If it's an event that sells out early, then so be it, too bad for the people who would only go if "something special" was planned, because it always sells out all those other folks must be going there anyway regardless of any new news or unveilings or happenings. If you want to go to Dayton anyway then go, regardless of any rumors. If the rumors then come true then you're there anyway, and if you didn't go then so be it. I've learned from experience that chasing after a carrot on a stick isn't near as tastey as eating the carrot on a dinner plate in front of me. Either pass the viddles, or go play with someone else elsewhere. Don't play the tease, it only diminishes the strength your other messages. .... But, hey, if you need the exercise then chase away. ps, tell me exactly why it couldn't be another bike they're announcing as there have been several rumors and unspoken sightings and hints of new stuff to come. I dare say the height of the Uly may have been used to advantage to conceal something standing right behind it. Look closely at certain shadows, do you see two wheels or two hiding in the shadows of two????? (just a random image to lead to a hint) |

Mike: Right you are. My enthusiasm carried me away. thanks for the dose of reality. I remember now. . . this is the internet, we only deal in fact. Hey...my best guess, and no one has qualified themselves more clearly (how many times have you read IN MY PERSONAL OPINION) I just think it'd be a fun year. Nothing new there. Last year, whist some of badweb was bitchin' and moaning about how lame Buell was for not being represented at Daytona. . . well, I'll let you look back and see what your's truly said. Words, to the effect, like "2006 will be the year". I consider myself a lucky guesser. Anyway. I agree with you and am standing down. >>>If you want to go to Daytona anyway then go I shall. I know of no rumors and wouldn't miss it for the world. I hope to see some Buell friends there as well. Court P.S. - I have no idea what Harley-Davidson Racing is up to. |

Bad case of pre-lunchitis, and apparently we are now under a new 10minute/60minute edit rule on the site here. Consider apologies offered, think I'll go play elsewhere for awhile instead. Custodial editing authorized. bye. both bikes for sale, don't need them for awhile, still somewhat firm on my prices, so in the garage they'll sit for awhile. |

I rotate bikes in and out of my garage on a fairly regular basis. Deciding on next bike on just rumour is relatively common for me. My Harley dealer in Davenport Iowa told me to not get an Electra Glide sport in 1994 and to get the new Road King which hadn't been shown anywhere. Back then the dealers who could order bikes with a customers name were treated better. Got one of the early twin cams in a dyna sport that way too. Not so sure on my latest, tho. Dealer friend saw something tall under wraps at the buell plant. I foolishly sold my BMW GS to be ready just in case. Looking forward to Ferris returning it sometime, maybe spring?? Seems like a good plan. FBRAT would not have resulted without that rumour. Sad thing is I do not remember who told me about it first. Hope I never have to testify in front of a grand jury. Don't remember and don't really care seem to be lousy answers. |

Court, I'd rather be teased than not. Please keep being you. For me it's more optimism than teasing anyway. |
