>>>chubby fingers of yours onto the the release catches of the lens cap What's up with those Nikon lens caps? Guy at work buys like a $3,000 lens and I can't open the thing! Child proof? I am going to try, in the final days, to spend some "quality time" with Cristo's "The Gates". Very cool stuff. Court |

"the final days" ...of D100 custody? I've been waiting for another episode. Cristo'd be cool. Char has a framed, signed Cristo poster of the umbrellas. |

Court, do you know if Buell used both a black faced VDO clock and a white faced clock (with the pegasus) on a S3? I ordered one and was expecting the white faced one and got the black VDO clock. Just curious? |

I had this vision of Court everytime I saw him....anyone else agree??...I believe he's a famous "Texan" actor.... |

Koz: The original clock is no longer available. The manufacturer was not willing to run a reasonable amount of clocks, and would only supply a more generic clock. If it is really critical, we could try searching dealer inventory for straggler original clocks in dealer returns. Hope this is of some help. Court |

Hey Court, What is the history of the "Elf" and "Elves" terms being associated with Buell? Thanks, David |

David: The "History of the Elves" was written once, sounds like it's time to dust it back off. It was the opening volley in a series of some of my favorite stories I have ever written...."Tales of the Elves". By the way, nice to see another NYC person here. That's not your white XB I keep seeing parked at 44th and Madison Avenue is it? Josh: There are plenty, assuming you ask for the proper size, of TEAM ELVES shirts left. Let me know what you need. By the way, there are also patches so watch your manners. Court |

No,no not Harley legal or even Hardly Legal, just curious. I've been reading this website for probably 5 years now (don't even own a bike) and I just think it's neat that it seems the Buell engineers/magicians are nicknamed "elves" - I'd like to know the backstory and if in fact it is the engineers and such folks that are called elves or is there a portal at the plant to an elfin land... |

Nah, Court I wish that was my white XB you are seeing. No, in fact I'm the guy on the bicycle that MickyP encountered on the West Side that time. Please do dust off that history of the elves, I'd love to read it. Speaking of NYC - I'm pretty impressed with the amount of Gotham Buellers that seem to be cropping up, there's that guy that's moving to Brooklyn and of course yourself and the usual crew I read about. It's becoming impressive, no? |

It's becoming impressive, no? You got that right...... Keep riding that bike, reading Badweb and enjoying life. There'll be plenty of Buells when you're ready! |

That is an awesome picture! I like the old school Taxi sign too. "Hail a Buell" in Brooklyn Heights. I hope you are out on that CityX today! Damn it is beautiful in the slope! Perfect day for riding. |

Ah, and now for a very geeky NY notation: Your lady is on the Manhattan side and Court's CityX is on the Brooklyn side. The road directly behind your lovely, that's under the bridge is a greatlittle stretch of road, IMHO, it's the approach from downtown M'htn directly onto the bridge. Friday night I was in a cab coming back from a bidneth trip and there was a BEAUTIFUL girl decked out in black leathers on a super-fine black BMW r1100s carving her way through traffic on that very road. Made my heart flutter. Court's bike is pointed in the direction of one of the best ice-cream shops in Noo Yawk. It looks kinda like a lighthouse and is near the anchorage of the bridge. Good place and I see a lot of motorbikes there too. |

By the way.....absent waiting 3 hours ( a couple weeks ago) at Serendipity, you are right. Among my other favorite ice cream places to ride are Long Valley, NJ and Jerome, AZ. Long Valley....cool on a hot night. Jerome, great ice cream and great ride leaving town. NOTE: Do not get arrested going the wrong way on the one-way highway toward town. Anybody ever want to do a midnight Manhattan Cheesecake and coffee cafe' ride, just say the word. |

Court- Does Bad web still have a section for local buellers that may offer help to other buellers/bikers. I had a spot to offer tools gas small welding some minor trouble shooting for stranded bikers. I just wanted to update my file. |

Court, How would I send a unique one of a kind Buell collectible to Erik?? I have an extra certified dash plaque from our Buell top speed run at Bonneville in 2004. thought crossed my mind that this might be something erik doesn't already have and could possibly want. |
