I have been asked, and will gladly oblige, to do a summary of the year past and the year ahead in my PERSONAL OPINION with regard to Buell Motorcycle Company. Read the last part again....it will be MY PERSONAL OPINION. For old timers, this will allow us to start the year with you hosting a plethora of things I said to stick back in my face during the next year. This always serves as fodder for spirited dialogue. For new timers, it may serve as a brief history lesson and a chance to glimpse into what is, in my personal opinion, so special about Buell and the Craftsmanship. If you are in doubt, and unsure if you are an "old timer" or "new timer", look at the picture below. If you don't know what it is, you are a "new timer" and could benefit. I'll start writing early tomorrow. Court

Happy New Year to you, Court, and to all "OLD" & "NEW" and like myself- "MID" timers. Looking forward to your summary and prognostications. Any "-timers" other than extremely new on this board already know that your PERSONAL OPINIONS tend to be substantially more valid and insightful (inciteful?) regarding all things Buell, than the rest of OUR personal opinions, at least that's MY personal opinion. I have you to thank for most of my initial interest in these machines (as I've previously stated - I either owe you a frosty beverage of your choice , or a black eye, for that - haven't sorted that out yet!) Any way Write on--we'll read. Let the bickering begin! After looking at the photo above, it turns out I fit the definition of a "Newbie". What the heck is that? AL (that's "Mr. Penny" to you) Keaton ps: has that RS Manual you threatened to send reached it's proper level of seasoning in that musty basement of yours? |

That bedsheet looks suspiciously like what the bodywork from the early days of Buell Motorcycle Company was wrapped in before being put into the foamed in place boxes for shipment as P&A parts. 1313 |

>>>That bedsheet looks suspiciously like what the bodywork from the early days of Buell Motorcycle Company was wrapped in before being put into the foamed in place boxes for shipment as P&A parts. You Sir. . . ARE AN OLD-TIMER. The story is being written and the delay, as always, is that something amazing happened to me on the Buell yesterday. I'm going to have to, perhaps, break this down into several tales....you ain't gonna believe it. By the way Brankin...I took a special picture for you. Court |

Well, since I mustn't be an Engineer I hope being an 'old-timer' gives me some clout. You know, I've always wanted to say 'Them damn, young whipper-snappers on those XB's'. Does this mean I can say it now?Actually I just secretly desire to be able to use the word whipper-snapper in a sentence... Thanks Court for the pic - it suits me to a T! Something tells me your trials and tribulations will definitely be well worth the wait. We'll be right here when you are ready! 1313 |

I guess I'm an "old newbie." I like that the average age of Buellers seems to be early-to-mid-40ish, like me (46), and that lots of us are just now getting into it! Preach on, Court! (Thanks for the phone call, by the way!) (Message edited by rpmchris on January 07, 2005) |

Time and content. Last night was the Cycle World shindig, today meetings, leave meetings early to pick up Saro (Buell Owner) at the airport, dine, run home, clean house, get ready for arrival of Don Casto(Buell Owner) tomorrow for lunch, dine, shower, run to China Grill, meet Chauly (Buell Owner) and Karin, dine, Moma Mia, home, beg one more time to fly to Dallas for 3 hours to eat BBQ with (Buell Owner), take nasty look, dine. In addition, there have been significant developements and it turns out it's a darn good thing I did NOT use one of the pictures I was intending to. Your comments noted, I'll light a fire undermyownself.

Check out 'Live Cam Times Square' and you may be able to see the 'Verboten' photo. For a real treat zoom in on the faces of those who are stopped by the super sized photo of "The Mystery Man".Vito reports that his people say that New Yorkers on the street are calling the guy with the Sexy BUELL "The Mystery Man". OK! No Stetson, no smokes, just a Lone Rider with a lot of Ponies just waiting to get spanked.. |

Buell met their budget for 2004. They're on track to turn a profit for 2005. Is there more that I am missing? After all - 1/12th of 2005 has passed, 1313 |

Actually, I see DO NOT COPY THIS LINK. You MAY have to go in though the Buell homepage... Important thing is to do it. |
