Q for Blake (I hope..) How many "members" are currently listed in the BBS?? Thanks/ WB Last time I looked there were around 1900 registered users. LURKERS! Please register. No spam, I promise! You can hide your email address if you like via the "Edit Profile" utility after you register. Some of those accounts are inactive, I'm sure. Maybe 10%? The site gets around 12,000 distinct visitors every month. With many accessing from multiple computers, that puts a user (registered and unregistered) guestimate somewhere between 8,000 and 10,000. Blastin, I do that all the time. You can type your post in Outlook (and probably WORD). Then copy and paste it in the Add a Message box. You can spell check it before the copy paste. I don't think fancy fonts will make it through this process. EXCELLENT suggestion. Man I've been burned before too. I'll either use Word or Wordpad or be sure I do a right-click "copy" of my entire post before hitting the "Preview/Post" button. Fancy fonts don't make the transition, nor do any other Word type special formats. You can use all the BBS Formatting though. Thanks, Blake |

OK..... When is a "chat" feature going to be added? hehe Possibly in the future, but not anytime soon. You can start a Quick Board topic as a pseudo-chatroom if you like. You'd simply have to refresh it manually yourself. Blake |

A annoying problem I always have with the board is the difference between time zones. An easy solution would be if the local server time would be printed somewhere on the menu page. Just a thought. Sybren. I hear ya. We'll get that done for the next upgrade. For now, we just need to remember that the posted times are NYC times and do reflect adjustments for daylight savings time. NYC is 5 time zones west of GMT/UTC/Zulu time zome. California is 3 time zones west of NYC (8 west of GMT/UTC/Zulu) Blake |

Blake...Please change the header of the Deal's Gap page on the Quick Board to read September rather than August, 2002....I'm an idiot... Thanks, Bob Done. |

I'm just testing the spelling checker. And it seems to work. |
