Use it mostly. Great feature. The name of the thread is now in a gray bar under the messages. Maybe it was there always but unnoticed by me. Hans. |

Blake, Use it 100% of the time, ever since you pulled the plug on my message by e-mail feature, due to some sort of bounced message problem(s). Cheers, -JW:>) |

Blake, I use it 100% of the time, mostly with the Messages since I last checked for new messages: checked. Unless I hit it twice by mistake, and then I do a Messages posted within the last day or something. Great Feature of this software. Jim X-2.5 |

Blake, Same as Sporty . . I read up almost every day, at work or at home. Way more at home these days, I quite my job of 28 years. Long story. Tried it when I saw your request, seems like a decent feature, and was useable. Merry Christmas . . .thanks for all your hard work with BADWEB. Dave |

I NEVER use the "New Message Utility" I check the BadWeB twice a day and use the following address to get a Wide Screen version of the opening screen. The things that haven't changed are a different color type than the things that have been added to. If I see that a subject thet I keep track of has a new message added then I click on it. If not, I don't. That's almost as fast as using the New Message Utility and I don't waste 1/3 of the screen on the left side. Check out this Wide Angle view of the home page |

Ray: The "New Messages" utility automatically brings up pages in "wide screen" (single frame) format IF you have enabled your user preference to... "Open 'New Messages' links in a new browser window". The "New Messages" utility will also only show new messages for those topics that you have designate as "Favorites" in your user profile preferences. If you don't designate any topics as "Favorites", new messages will be shown for all board topics. You may want to open the main page in frames format from http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell to display the left hand frame and the link to the new messages screen. |

I used to use it when I visited more frequently. I've noticed it dosen't count recent postings as having logged onto the sight. Sooo, I was a bit intimidated when I saw there were over 500 new messages on the board since I last checked for messages. Too bad the feature can't tell me how many new messages there have been since my last visit (versus the last time I used the feature). Whether this would be through the cookies exchanged when I first come to BWB or from a post, I don't know. |

Not many people using the new messages utility? Bump... I'm curious how many of us are using the New Messages Utility. Please take a minute to let me know. Thanks. |

When I frequented the board a lot, I used the new mssg feature a lot. I haven't been visiting the board frequently and I don't sign in every time I visit. I've been overwhelmed by the number of posts shown the last couple times I tried the feature. I haven't used it in at least a year. H-man |
