A: Took 3 days for a "custodian" to approve my account registration. Maybe you guys are overwhelmed with requests...but that was the longest of any forum I have ever applied to. B: The fonts are an eyesore. Different Fonts, and text sizes for the category selection is painful on the eyes and looks like a child has designed the board. For those of us that do not have a 32" computer screen to look at, it makes the topics hard to read. In the end, I'm a motorcycle parts peddler, so what do I know of web design? I'm a new user to this site, so what nerve do I have to tell you how to design and run a site that has been around for ______ years. Then again.....you did ask for opinions. |

Second, Welcome to the board. Hope your attitude improves. Or we will have fun with you HAHA

Moelester, if you want to complain, get your facts straight. Your account was created on the 24th, I activated your account around 10:30pm on the 25th. I don't know how that counts as 3 days, but whatever. I usually do check the new pending accounts at least twice a day, but being the weekend I had other things distracting me. As for the fonts, they were picked years ago, and it is easy to find what you want either by visually memorizing them, or using your browsers search (ctrl + F) and typing in the section. You can also try the Tree View (http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/boar d-viewtree.cgi) as it may be easier for the substandard monitor you claim to have. Welcome to Badweb, enjoy your stay at the largest online Buell community that has been around about 13 years. (Message edited by froggy on April 26, 2010) |

Spiderman, it doesn't speak well for a community to ask for suggestions, then to flame a new person for offering a few. Froggy...maybe the server was slow or something and it took longer than normal to process between me and you? I dunno, I created my account Thursday morning while at work (23rd), got my email this morning (26th). |

"it doesn't speak well for a community to ask for suggestions, then to flame a new person for offering a few. " What pray tell did you suggest? I cannot find any suggestion by you anywhere, just complaining and insult. Some points for you to consider: 1. Pussies complain. 2. Don't be a pussy. PS: Your chosen username is creepy, as in only a creep would want to call himself a molester, no matter the spelling. I'd suggest you get another one. See how that works, I made a suggestion. |

CAN the hot-linking be disabled for thread titles? This is a pain in the butt for posters to have to disguise names of companies in their titles. Happens for American Sport Bike for Erik Buell Racing and others. It has to be frustrating to start a thread and then have nobody able to get into it. |

Will see if I can make that happen. If we see any threads with title trouble, we'll fix 'em forthwith. If only you could somehow gain custodial status... |

As usual (quoting Groucho Marx) - I can't respect any organization that would have me as a member (insert smiley animated gif here) |

Then again, sometimes "accidents" happen... "Oops! You are now THE MAN!" |

This is a test: debris DErik Buell RacingIS As you can imagine, debris in all caps becomes DErik_Buell_RacingIS, which is not the poster's intent. Also note the disruptive hot link in the quote in this post. The test shows that hot linking can inadvertently change/disrupt the wording in a post. I'd second the emotion that hot linking be disabled only I'll suggest that it be done globally not just in TITLES. |

I was shocked and dismayed after all the years here to notice that the "Old School Buell" section mentions that it is for discussion of tube/trellis framed Buells. Ducati is a trellis frame. The Buell tubular frame is officially termed a geodesic frame. Shame on whoever is at fault. Fix this injustice at once. (Message edited by Rick_A on June 27, 2010) |

WHY OH WHY is it now taking me nearly 10 minutes to find the BRAN section (so far). Why doesn't it have its own section? Still looking. Title search for "BRAN" returns hundreds of BRANd, BRANded, BRANch, etc. Shouldn't be this difficult. Oh well - back out to look some more and YES, I"m logged on. Chase McFarland is looking for some local support and I'll be hanged if I can find BRAN. |

Slaughter, it is right on the main topics page right between Guest Book and Suggestions. Here is a link to it anyway. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/boar d-auth.cgi?file=/42/42.html&lm=1280359257 I still say you weren't logged in. |

I may be wrong but it seems to me like the classifieds section is omitted in the search category drop down. If so then my suggestion / request is for a way to search through the classified section. Thanks |

This is weird. In the years on Badweb, I'd never seen that I needed another password to get access to the link for Rider Assistance Network (not Buell Rider Assistance Network by the way). Apparently the password I'd always used on Badweb is not valid? I am going through the password recovery process (waiting for my "activation key" to come in email) I kept clicking the "Log In, Log Out" link and it'd take me to the log-in screen and when I would type in what I had THOUGHT was my password, I'd be taken right to Badweb... no error message. When I followed the link that Froggy posted above, that was the first time that I've ever seen that my password doesn't work... Why dat? I expect that when a custodian reviews my password request, I'll be approved here again and can recover my "forgotten" password. Meanwhile, can somebody send Chase McFarland the list of the folks on the Assistance Network who might help him out in Birmingham area? (Kristi got back to me - saying it is the RAN - not BRAN but obviously that didn't help since apparently I am unable to log in to Badweb) Last suggestion: when an attempt is made to log in FAILS - maybe a message so the person trying to log in KNOWS that the attempt failed? I didn't KNOW that I was not logged on since every time I "logged on" I'd go from this:
to this:
And then it'd take me right to Badweb with no error message... all these years, I had THOUGHT that meant that I was logged on... What am I missing? |

Tried the link that Froggy posted above and I still can't log in. Rider Assistance is invisible. Could somebody help Chase McFarland out and send him any names of folks within commuting distance of Barber Motorsports park? Thanks |
