Grumpy Guy, Half the people registered here don't bother to provide their city or state of residence. If they did, I'm not sure they'd want universal access to their data in such a globally minable format. Opto, As far as I know if you upload an mp3 it stays an mp3. The BBS has no way of converting file types. Tripper, Damn straight! Oh, and CJ, LOL! I obviously need to gut a grammar checker too. |

Point taken Blake, but would it be possible to link it to the RAN? |

Blake, could you or someone else test this mp3/mid file change? I really don't think the problem is at my end. I upload an mp3 file, it says mp3 on the posted attachment on BWB, and it downloads as a mid. |

I downloaded Opto's mp3 and it does save as a .mid file. Whether I use 'Save target as' or just opening the file it is a .mid. Mike. |

Is it possible to have an 'Ignore' feature, or is that considered a violation of Free Speech? I would simply like to NOT EVEN SEE ANY POST, FROM OR ABOUT, a particular new poster that has shown up on Bad Weather recently. Best Regards, mikep |

The issue wrt the malevolent poster has been handled. Admin is just a little busy these days and didn't catch it at the start. Thanks to Court for intervening on behalf of BadWeB. |

It's obvious that the best suggestion anyone could have made to improve the Badweb in the last week or so has already been taken care of! Thanks. |

Admin, How about adding some type of "calendar of events" Buell related of course, that members could add to whenever something comes up. Right now there's the riding the ridge, bringing it home, no whining tour, countless battletrax, Newfoundland, Races, and various other destinations for the Buell of heart, but no place to quick reference the where and when. It may make it simpler for some to plan trips and find out about "out of your" area events. right now they are all over the Board. did they do surgery on John's conscience too? hahaha |

Would you be willing to maintain it? Start a new topic in the Storm Fronts and have at it. All such event topics SHOULD be started in the Storm Fronts topic anyway. That is what it's for. |

Here's what I'm thinking of: A calendar (wall) type format with enough room in each date to put a list with the abbreviation of the state(s) that the event(s) is taking place in, and a small descriptor. The state's abbreviation would then be a hyperlink to the relevant information/thread located elsewhere on the board, or to a small description of the event/date/location. If you set it up, and learn me the hyperlink gig, I will maintain it. lord knows I'm here enough

VERY minor... The width of the left most panel (can't remember the name of it in HTML speak) seems too wide. I always have to narrow it a bit so the right pane (there it is ) displays all of it's data. I notice that the info in the left pane seems to be of a folder structure format so maybe some of you use that pane to navigate? If so, it's probably best left alone. |

You can do that using existing BadWeB formatting tags. Create an Excel spreadsheet as desired with the proper BadWeB formatting tags embedded as desired (for the hyperlinks) then use the \table{} formatting tag and paste the entire spreadsheet into it. It works great. Then just update your spreadsheet as required and repost every so often. You can doooo eeeeeet. Read up in the help section about the hyperlinking and table formatting tags. Here's a link... http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/board-formatting.html |

Example... And here's the spreadsheet I used to generate the above table. I simply typed \table{} and cut and paste portion of the spreadsheet in between the curly braces of the "\table" formatting tag. Boom there it is. Note the use of the "\-2{}" text size formatting tag to achieve the desired font sizes and the "\newurl{}" formatting tag to generate the hyperlinking. Give it a try. Thanks for your great idea and for helping with its implementation and maintenance. |
