Blake and Fidel, I think the BWB forum would benefit from a nice gadget clickable on the main window : the sound of the Buell ! I've looked around on the Net for such sound file, there're not so many... The Bub 2/2 exhaust downloadable on the Bub site, the idling of a Swedish X1, and the dyno runs of a X1 with stock exhaust or with open pipes. I would strongly recommend to put the latter, it is gorgeous, long-enough, includes near-limiter sound and great idling sequence, etc... You can download it at the following url : http:\www.bikesounds.com The X1 Lightning mp3 sound files are in the "rawsound2" section. |

Thanks for the link, Peter. Too bad that there's so much music in the background and that the sequence with the high-revving Buells is so short. But that makes another one in my personal library ! By the way, have you listen to the open pipe X1 ? Quite gorgeous IMHO... |

Blake, I'll try one more time if get no response, I'll shut up and quit bugging you! Can we get the "Vanity Plate" section put back in the GDB? (Someone said there was one before the crash) Thanks BluzM2 |

Hey Blake: There used to be dates and time on the "tech" sub-topics on the GDB. That was always helpful to see which one had changed. Could you start that up again. Thanks Neil S |

Neil: You can view the most recent post dates/times for each of the "BadWeB Knowledge Vault" (previously "Tech Topics") by clicking on that main topic from the BBS main topic page. The hyperlinks at the top of the GDB do not show dates/times since they are no longer subtopics of that page (GDB), they are now simply hyperlinks to subtopics of the "BadWeB Knowledge Vault". I moved the tech discussion topics there to avoid accidentally wiping them from the GDB again. That was a real bummer! Maybe if I ever learn cgi and pearl, I can figure out how to show the same dates/times with the hyperlinks. |

Neil: Better yet, try the New Messages Utility. It is truly indespensible in reading the board. The BBS will actually remember the last time you "checked for new messages" makeing it extremely easy to keep up to date on the BBS. |

Blake, Two things: 1: if you add sound, either foreground or background, add a muffler option. In other words, click to turn on or off the sounds and music, and if turnd off then the music does not still download. 2: if you change the front intro page, please ensure it loads fast. The new ATB site is nice and fancy, but man does it load slow. |
