Kristi - wow. And you don't even own a bike. Put the info into a spread sheet. Once it's in that format, it's easy to transform it into whatever we need it to be. Edit - Next time someone does a female Bueller of the year thread, I'm nominating you. Thanks for taking care of that guy who broke down on the outter banks. Actually, by time Carlos got home and made contact, he had someone to plug the tire so he could get to Beaufort the next day. We never even left the driveway. Nice to know that people appreciate the effort anyway! I just printed down the RAN, it's 19 pages including the updates people have submitted. I think if we do it in spreadsheet form, we'll also put in the effective/updated date and maybe their BadWeb call name so if contact can't be made via phone, we can PM them and see if they are still interested in being on the list. Is there any other information you think should be included in this? After looking at the print out and considering we're in the latest time zone, it may take longer than I first thought, but it's still very doable. This will be my Christmas Gift to BadWeb!! |

FYI - The RAN data was originally compiled as an Excel file . . .and may still be download-able in that form from here? In a previous lifetime on BWB a "maintenance" email was sent the addresses provided by the RAN members. It asked that each member check his/her RAN information for errors and/ommissions. When an email bounced back, the RAN member was either called by phone or a request for help was posted on the board. Although this was not as pro-active as calling everyone listed . . .it did allow for some review/editing/correction of information submitted. YMMV, always consider the source. I'm willing to do the update, whether it be by e-mail or phone. RAN does not show e-mail addresses or BadWeb call names, are they on the master list? Is it still on Excel? When the last update was done, was it with the e-mail confirmation or just adding what had been submitted onto the RAN listing? Blake or any other custodian can e-mail me and we'll can figure something out to keep this list updated. I'm a stay-at-home Mom and have time to update and/or maintain this little part of BadWeb if that's agreeable to Blake. Kristi |

Good suggestions. You can cut and paste right from the web page into a spreadsheet, at least Excel will let you do that. One suggestion I have is to eliminate the actual names from the list, at least the last names. Though the list is only viewable by registered BadWeB users, that isn't much of a security measure. Would like to remove the last name and add the BadWeB username. Also, listing the username would allow folks to pull up the user profile and send PM if desired. Thanks Kristi! I'll email you a copy of the spreadsheet and let you have at it. HEY Don! (Don was the father of the RAN. What a great guy. I miss his contributions here.) Sure is good to see you poke your head in amigo. |

Blake - you're welcome. BadWeb has introduced us to some really great people. This is a way for me to give something back to BadWeb! I'll e-mail the spreadsheet back to you when I've finished it. Kristi |

Can we get Storm Fronts\St. Louis Area Buellers (SLAB) moved out of the archives? Ok, it's isn't a hot bed of discussion, but it's only been one week since the last post. Thanks |

Oops, sure thing! Sorry about that. Errant click of the mouse must have resulted in that overzealous archiving. |

Thread Thread Starter Last Poster Posts Pages Last Post can you add who started the thread to the above between "Thread" and "Last Poster"? |

Heck, I was contemplating removing the "last poster" column. Thoughts? |

I like knowing who started the thread and who the last poster is. It's good for searches too. |

Please leave the last poster. Makes it easier to "keep up".

Blake -- I've seen on a couple of other boards something in the classifieds sections labelled "pay it forward." seems to be items (generally small) that the owner has no need for, asn is willing to give away free-gratis (or, perhaps for shipping) to help out a fellow rider . . . perhaps a reasonable addition to our classifieds here on badweb? |

why do some pages sort by date of last post and others don't, very annoying! |
