Seperate forum for people like Rockette that continually agitate and show lack of maturity. An exile place, Purgatory. Like the last step before banning. Open to all to throw stones at the offender. |

That'd be okay if there was a way to make it the only place they could post in while in retention. Make it a sub-section of the petty bickering room. And make it sound proof so it doesn't even show up in since-last-visit searches unless a switch is triggered to make it user-selected visible, maybe a button in a user's profile. |

Would a member be sent to Purgatory only if voted there by the other members? (a la your suggestion about member discussion before banning or deleting threads) rt |

Purgatory is a religious (man made) theme, although not found in the Scriptures). I am surprised at you. |

Hmmmm. We actually agreed to create a topic for bickering. I need to do that. This idea is different though. It is an interesting idea. We could call it "BadWeB's Dog House" or "Penalty Box" It is doable. Though I'm not comfortable making it a kind of public arena for casting stones. That is a good suggestion amigo. Pending consensus among custodians, I'm willing to give it a go. What say you fellow custodians? Let's make this an open public vote. |

How about a doghouse for the dog and custodians to post and discuss, closed to all but the participants, open to bring in outside help by invitation if a dog feels he/she is being unfairly ganged up on by trustees and custodians. Sort of like taking it offline to email and cc'ing the world, only instead having a structured thread to backpedal thru. Once resolved then archived. |

I think if you make room for this, you'll have more of it than you wish. I recommend not having it. I feel that our profile in this regard is one of the desirable things about Badweb. I know I said differently earlier. |

I dunno - a few lost folks could have been given the chance they needed with this - at least that bitter taste would not be so heavy in their mouths - why - because a forum like that shows that you really think the person contributes and is worth having around and perhaps only needs to understand the ground rules better - some folks need a hammer to put a stamp on - lol GT - JBOTDS! The workload for the custodians is a very valid concern. It is already significant. I think that a private communication between the custodian and author of the problematic content serves much the same purpose, as long as the custodian is thoughtful and offers the benefit of doubt to the person. If needed we could sure implement such a scenario though. In fact we did that already on one recent situation. The custodians and Team Elves principles minus Aaron Wilson know what I am talking about. |

Blake, How about we "can" all references to that divisive topic. You're safe at home, so be content with that. There are divisions, just let them be. Friends don't let friends post dangling threads. |
