My opinion: Keep a good turnover among the custodians so they don't develope God complexes, and share the liability of being a custodian. Its a hard job? Spread out the resonsibility. |

General site global control custodians, yes, agree. Sub-section head moderator special interest topics limited power to their sub-section custodians could have indefinite terms in office subject to seasonal review by members and moderators. Storm Front sections, Blastin-on-the-dark-side section, and so forth. |

I think the longer one serves as custodian, the more sensitive one becomes, meaning less heavy-handed in nature. I know that is true for me personally. I'm not sure there are that many BadWeBrs who would be willing to serve in a custodial capacity. We actually have a fairly high turnover rate purely from voluntary resignations. It ain't a fun responsibility at all. |
