Gee, perhaps a number of other threads should be filed under something like "The Whine Cellar." |

Nev, I think that would be hilarious and useful. I like it that idea a lot. |

I was wondering if you had any decals that signify we use the BWB? I see other Buellers out there on the road and want to contact them. Any ideas? Traffic around the San Francisco Bay are does not lend to stopping just anywhere. Destinations are a factor also. |

Hello, I see we have more sponsors on the website. This is good news. My question is wether we can have a page with all the sponsors on it for easy access. That way we don't have to hunt around for a link. Chris |

I may be asking to ride behind everyone because of this suggestion but here goes..have only admin sysop or bbs owner start a new topc or subtopic..not that I get confused but I have been here from 2000 and finding this place a little crowded when finding things, sorry but..I find this bbs one of of not the best I have seen.It is and continues to me to be a work on American pride that I am proud of.We all ride because we are proud, proud of our home, proud of our bike, proud of each other, and proud to be a user at Badweather! vwolf/wcb |

Shotgun, Good idea. VWolf, Try using the "Search" and "New Messages" utilities? |

Georg...Blake is correct but it only took V2Win about three years to convince me that the "only" way to work with this board is using the "New Message" utility...I now do so and it's made digesting all of this soooo much easier...Try it, you'll like it... See Ya! Bob |

'cept the new message utility is still hosed with some browsers. Otherwise, yep, it was the only way to fly. |

Dyna, Thanks for pointing out the misspelling on the Quick Board. Mike, Good news! The new version of Discus is out and working. We'll have a much more functional and stable BBS platform within one month, after the new version surpasses my two month trial rule. |

Is the site here getting slow to load for anyone else? Seems like it takes forever to finish loading. Sometimes the system seems to be waiting for the banners to load, and sometimes like in the quick board it waits for all the headings to load. Just curious, as it seems like we are possibly on the verge of another implosion or data overload again. MikeJ. ps, did the guy from Hal's get in contact with you about sponsorship here? I think he was connected with their speed shop and had posted in the last month or so to you about it. I forget his id-name. |

I noticed a general slowdown in the internet for some sites. There is no danger of implosion that I can see. We have plenty of disk space. I have asked the ISP to look into it. Last time it happened was the Chinese hacker worm attack. |

Here's a good site to see the current status of the backbones. Pretty useful if you communicate with people all over. |

With all the stuff happening and about to go critical all over the world, I guess it's expected that things would slow at times just due to use. |

Josh, I use att.net via dial up for my ISP. I connect in East Texas. The BadWeB server is in NJ. Which square(s) are pertinent to me and to the BadWeB server. I think my webmaster told me that when Sprint has trouble, the BadWeB server will suffer. Thanks for the link. Blake |

Blake, Do a tracert from your machine to badweatherbikers.com and you will see the path packets take and you should be able to pick out the backbone routers pretty easy. From what I see it looks like cable&wireless (cw.net) is the backbone provider for badweb. So the C&W and AT&T intersection boxes (yes both are identical) are what you need. You can also see limited historical data. Oh and here's a page just for C&W |

I thought all the problems were just with my ISP. We're having major problems with phones in this area (Lake Geneva, WI). Only about 1 in 5 long distance calls are getting out on the first try. It's a real pain in the a$$ when I'm actually trying to work. I come here to relieve some frustration only to get more frustrated with slow loading. Oh well, back to the grind stone!! |
