Don, i got to tell ya, thats just plain ridiculous. This is america, where u have the right to b offended. I do'nt think there has been anything so severe to warrant such policeys. So what if people r negative at times, so what if sombody gets flamed once in a while. So what if people get carried away once in awhile. Big deal Be a man and handle it. Personally id like to bring the cussin back, its a valuble part of my vocabulary. I want to b able to express my opinion freely. I don't need a big brother. Gee i hope this won't get me kicked off :<] Ed.: todd: I love u man... but we gotta step back for a moment and look at the scenario we are talking about here... Imagine for instance if someone asks us to remove our shoes upon entering their house, or to not smoke, or to refrain from swearing... we are pretty much obliged to honor their request aren't we? After all, we are a guest in their house. I feel the same etiquette applies on a web site. As you well might recall, I can rant as well as most (four years working offshore drilling rigs you know), and like the majority of us here, I've already heard most of the colorful language, so unless we invent some new expletives, the red dots should suffice just fine, don't you think? Most of us can, if desired, accurately fill in the blanks. Others who don't care to see the colorful words in print can just as easily fill them in mentally with euphemistic equivalents like "durn/darn" (dependin' on which side of the Mason-Dixon you reside) or "shoot" or "dog-gone"... Cool? And please be assured that you are not the only sheppard of creative vulgarity on BADWEB, just that you posted your cast iron opinion on this page for me to address. Thanks always for expressing your honest opinion! That's what makes this a "Discussion" board. |

Blake said he might trim some stuff from the board to preserve space. I suggest that we cut the TL discusion board from this board.Nobody ever posts there anymore. Its been months since it had a new post. Let the TL people go to there own board. |

Blake; i understand the need to archive the GDB when the current posts runneth over. But could you make a sup-topic under the GDB for the archives? Perhaps called...umm, how about GDB Archives? enh, wadda ya think? Thanks for this great resource for the experienced folk to share their knowledge, and the Inexperienced (me) to learn. Travis |

Travis: The BBS performs automatic archiving per the settings I create for each main topic page. Unfortunately the BBS administration software won't allow me to specify where the BBS puts those archives. That's a good suggestion for the next upgrade to the BBS software though. Thanks, Blake |

Blake, I messed up on loading some photos on the profiles page-they were too large. Is there a way I can remove the message that has no photos? I reposted the profile with the proper size pictures and just don't want to take up space on that page. |

If you post using your username and PW, you can remove posts within 30 minutes of uploading via the "Edit Profile" utility... I think... I'll double post and see if that's true. |

Try number three. There's no way to delete a post. Leaving the text totally blank didn't work. Posting just a "." didn't change anything either, even though it showed like it did in the "Recent Posts" area. |
