Also, please feel free to cull the chaff. I'm hoping for a subtopic selectable search option with the next major release of the BBS software. That should help facilitate BBS keyword searches. |

Okay, I set up those two pages at least, let me know if I did it right. They're linked from the Knowledge Vault main page as well as their respective knowledge vault pages. BTW, why don't the ASB & SportTwin logos show up on the Knowledge Vault main page? Or is it just me? Thanks for noticing that. Problem fixed. And again, THANKS for taking time to setup the new topics! Blake AW |

Blake, Is there still or was there ever an offer to receive a CD of archived Badweb posts? If not, I think it would be fantastic to have, say, a 2001 Badweb CD. All the tech info, photos and ordinary discussions are (practically) priceless. I'd like to get one. Sparky 96S1, 98S3 Yes, that is in work. I am putting a nice HTML version together that will work just like the board from an HTML standpoint. Stay tuned. Blake |

Thanks Aaron! Sparky: If someone could provide an FTP site I would upload some of the old files. I don't keep copies of the GDB archives any more. Not being too web savy, I had no easy way to continue to do so. Rocket: If I could find a dictionary file, we could re-implement spell checking. The old spell checker depended on a web site that is no longer providing the service. Dictionary file should be an ascii file of alphabetically listed words,m one word per line. I have been unable to find one that will work. |

Blake: How about a read only sub topic area containing Service Bulletins , Tech bulletins , P&A Bulletins , so they are easy to find . Buell is up to B-40 something , this I can help with , if you need any bulletins let me know. Jeff Yes, I agree, having to navigate all the applicable knowledge vault topics to find pertinent bulletins is kind of a pain. If you can send me a complete set, I'll put them on their own special page categorized by the type of bulletin. Send them to BadWeatherBikers@att.net in zipped form if you can. THANKS!! This will go a LONG way to helping Buell owners/riders sort through the rampant fog of misinformation. Blake |

Blake, Have any other users reported that if you click on a link from the New Messages tree, the "go back" button does not return you to the tree? Instead you get the Home page. Dave No. I'd suggest setting your user preferences to "Open new message links in a new window" or right clicking and selecting the "Open in new window" option. You also might try MSIE if you are using Netscape. Blake |

Dave, I had that happen to me sometimes. It is annoying because you then lose track of new messages. I grew tired of it and changed the configuration to such that discussions open in new browser windows when I click a link in the New Messages tree window. I generally don't like links that pop up new windows, but at least it is a workaround to the bug (if it is a bug; it sure seems like one) and now I can still keep track of new messages. Anyhow, it is but a minor glitch; BadWeb is really awesome! Cheers, Semi Yeah, what Semi said! Blake (slow on the draw) |

Blake, If you are still interested in an FTP server please contact me. I am hosting one for Sacborg right now and could easily accept anything you want to toss onto it! godofwan@yahoo.com will get the job done... Sort and categorize all the old threads? Mmmmm, as long as the project doesn't suffer from "Scope Creep" and I don't have a 14 day timetable I would lend my efforts to such an endeavor. Imagine all the things you would learn and remember while doing it! Cliff, thanks for the very generous offer. I'll be in touch! Blake |
