Marquez on pole with 1:46.635, beating his own previous pole position record. |

Geez, how does Dovi feel after getting completely outgunned by his teammate, riding the SAME bike, with a dislocated shoulder?? |

Movistar Yamaha secured the Team Championship with four races left. That ends four years of Honda domination and I couldn't be happier. |

Maybe you've said it before and I've just forgotten... but what exactly is it that makes you hate Honda so much? Back on topic, that was one hell of a race between Dani and Valentino! |

Same reason I hate the New York Yankees... they're "overdogs" that get their way far too often. And yes, Dani refused to just roll over and die. If Lorenzo wins the championship, he owes Dani one HELL of a dinner! |

Excellent ride by Pedrosa, great battle. When's that last time he performed like that if ever? may have been the ride of his career, hope it start's something. |

Hell of a race. I've even gotten my wife addicted to watching. |

Tough for VR46 when mini-me had such an advantage on the back straight. Unless he was able to gap him considerably he was going to get re-passed easily on that long downhill 215 MPH straight. That being said Pedrosa did ride the race of his life. I thought he would cave to the pressure, but he kept it together. Glad Vale stayed upright too. That would have been a disaster to crash chasing 4 more points. |

Motegi is generally considered a "Honda Track" with their hard braking and tight turns but Lorenzo has done well in there in the past (as has Rossi). Getting down to the wire, and we STILL haven't seen the head-to-head fight between the team mates that we've been waiting for (though the fight with Dani certainly had me on the edge of my seat). |

Marquez apparently broke a finger on his left hand in a bicycling accident. It probably won't affect his performance as (as far as I can tell) MotoGP riders only use the clutch ONCE during a race, and that's during the start... |

The shoulder isn't affecting Lorenzo much. Rossi's best chance, I think, is the rain predicted on Sunday... |

Well, Pedrosa did Lorenzo a favor at the last round. Looks like he evened the scales with Rossi this time (though Vale certainly helped his own cause at the end). |

Pedrosa rode a prefect race. He really used his tires to perfection and Lorenzo may have pushed to hard. Now Rossi can win without having to beat Lorenzo. |

According to Asphalt & Rubber, in Parc Ferme Lorenzo's front tire was practically destroyed. Rossi's front tire had the same edge wear as Lorenzo's, but the center portion was in better shape showing he wasn't braking as hard. Pedrosa's tires, by comparison, still looked to be in good shape. Being a flyweight, and riding the opening laps extra cautiously paid off for him at the end. |

It was a great race. My wife and I both laughed about the excited British announcer pronouncing "Jorge Lorenzo". At times he sounded almost like the Daleks on Doctor Who saying "EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!" |

Phillip Island is always a great track and I read its the favorite (or one of the favs) of many of the racers....GO VR46. VR had fallen down the time charts in FP2, but I read he has been working on race setup on shagged tires. Hopefully he can get a decent start position...and if he doesn't WIN at least finish within a spot or two of Jlo. I believe he can win the championship without finishing ahead of JLo in any of the remaining races. |

He's been in and around racing for a long time. I seem to remember him racing for Kawasaki back when they were still in MotoGP. He was always a "Wet weather" specialist. Once Kawasaki withdrew from the series, he's bounced around a bit. Don't really know where he's been but the article I just found implies he's been in Moto2. He'll be riding for Karel Abraham at Phillip Island. That means he'll be riding the "Customer Honda" (same as Nicky Hayden and Eugene Laverty). |

This was the only Moto GP race I've seen since I set out in May. Being in the lodge of TWO with a crowd of enthusiasts made it even better. Amazing display of talent on all the racers' parts! |

I defy a TRUE motorsports fan to deny MotoGp is not the best form of racing in the world. I mean I was expecting someone to crash a nearly every pass, but they just kept pushing harder. Innonne was just amazing on that beast...like in Aragon, the Yamahas were going were always going to be out gunned due to the pure HP required for the last sector. Marquez seems primed to be a factor on who will win the Championship. As a VR46 fan, I have to thank him for his last lap performance. Anyone else excited to see the last couple rounds?!?!? |

That was a great race. I thought Lorenzo was going to pull away but he could't and then on that last lap Marquez just reeled him! that was nuts. |
