quote:Marquez was briefly asked about the Assen chicane incident, Marquez answering first “Assen is in the past and now we are in Germany. We will see, at the moment I want to go race by race and I have enough work to think about doing my job!” He later expanded, “For me the second place was OK after Mugello and Montmelo and it was already a victory. In that last chicane many things have happened and now we know and Valentino taught us another thing again. He’s very smart and we must learn from him.”
Yeah, Rossi isn't just smart, he's brilliant in that he is using MM's own aggressiveness to beat him. I always did like boxers who were great counter-punchers. |

Marquez on the pole, but Rossi doesn't care. He knows his REAL fight tomorrow is with the Yamaha that qualified in third position (Rossi's in sixth). The two Repsol Hondas can battle it out all race long, at this point neither one of their results will matter to Rossi unless one of them takes him out in their fight. And here's hoping superstition WORKS: MARQUEZ HAS NEVER LOST AT THIS TRACK LORENZO HAS NEVER WON AT THIS TRACK. Okay... carry on... |

I wonder if Pedrosa was instructed to take out Rossi to push Marquez up the point ladder. |

I doubt it. That would've helped Lorenzo more than it would've helped Marquez. |

It was pretty obvious the Hondas had an advantage in Germany. Why? Is it as simple as both Honda riders having an affinity for this track? |

Some interesting thoughts from David Emmett on why the Hondas work so well at the 'Ring: http://www.asphaltandrubber.com/motogp/summary-sat urday-german-gp-2015/ |

You know what sucks? All these British riders doing so well in MotoGP and WSBK, and no Matt (Trojan) here to discuss it with... On the other hand, he isn't here to gloat either so I guess there IS that... |

No Matt. Yes I miss his opinions, gloating, and most of all his high quality information. I hope he is doing ok. |

Yeah that guy sure did know his shit..or he had me completely fooled. LOL It's too bad his shop closing forced him to give up this forum. What were his circumstances exactly? |

Lack of sales, IIRC. He tried to diversify, but it apparently didn't pan out. |

Why would that have an effect on which forums he visits? I haven't owned a Buell since 2008, and yet here I am. Marc is back. |

Perhaps his business failure soured him a bit on motorcycles? I don't know. Maybe he was moving on and disconnected with everything that had to do with two wheels? Seems extreme. Perhaps someone who "knows" him can drop him a PM.... His insight was pretty impressive and the info he brought was really good stuff. I think we all miss that. |

We're also in the "B" Penthouse. LOVE those seats. Sheltered from the afternoon sun(and rain, if it should happen). GREAT view of the front straight and the first several turns. Only issue is the LONG staircase to climb to get to those seats. Hey, I need to get my exercise SOMEHOW. There is also a free wireless signal you can latch on to up there as well. |

you should be able to walk right up to all the AMA teams as the GP boys are hidden behind locked access necessitating the paddock pass. that's the way it has been with the XR1200 class in the past and I believe that we will be pitting in the overflow garage area. see you there! tim |

So how are they going to work this? Moto America on Saturday and Moto GP on Sunday? Or the same day? I'm confused. I was only going to go Sunday but I Moto America is racing Saturday I might just have to make a weekend out of it. |

All weekend long! I think MotoAmerica will actually be on the track for practice on Thursday but I don't think we'll be in town in time for it. They'll probably have qualifying on Friday with Race1 on Saturday and Race2 on Sunday. |
