Looking forward to meeting Cory at Laguna Seca and congratulating him in person. It would be doubly cool to invite him & Erik to hang with the SCAB group up in the Corkscrew RV site at the Luv Shak with the EBR banner waving. |

Cory is supposed to a track day at Laguna Seca when he gets back from China. I am not sure of the date, but it would be a good opportunity to not only meet him but ride with him. I am sure that he would be happy to give any Buell riders some tips. |

Life in the fast lane. It's a dirty nasty job but someone has to do it.

Riohondohank.. Thanks for the great video. BUT..... I want the video from Cory West's helmet cam. That must be worth a fortune just for post race analysis. |

That's incredible. THAT is the way I love seeing the EBR showcased . . . The bike is world class and so, too, is Cory. He is an amazing ambassador for EBR. This is great news. |

Though I have known Cory all his life and am well aware of his capabilities both on and off the track, I am always amazed when he does something like the above video. BTW his current job for EBR traveling the country in a van to track days and dealers was entirely his own idea that he pitched to Erik. I am proud to have a part in getting Cory's racing career started. |

To me that is the best part of racing... new places, new people, new things, great fellowship. I would be hard pressed to watch more than 10 minutes of a MotoGP race before getting bored and turning it off for a good book. But if that video above was an 8 week reality show, that had weeks of stories about travel, history, people, bikes, and food (and one episode covering the race)... you couldn't pry me away from it. Which means I am probably just now catching up with Team Hero and Larry Pegram. Now if *they* can just catch up with Splitlath and their sense of story and production skills.. |

>>>Now if *they* can just catch up with Splitlath and their sense of story and production skills.. No story . . . .regardless of merits . . . . stands unless properly told. Cory, and every darn thing about him, just screams enthusiasm and excitement. If he took a kid's scooter and pushed it around the track . . . .he'd be exciting. The challenge will be to capture and capitalize . . . . all the ingredients exist. I've watched the damn thing a couple times and just showed it to all the service folks here where my car is being serviced. They are all sport-bike riders and we amazed to hear about EBR. |

I watched the 2nd race, just seeing Cory back it into the corners and sliding all over leaving dark trails of rubber on the asphalt flat out amazes me. To think that I own a piece of machinery that's capable of doing the same thing sometimes scares me. Well, it would take a much better rider than I am to do it, but still... |

Backing it in is something I think I could do, but have not had the nerve to try it. I have done it unintentionally once on my 1125r. Felt really cool. Crashing is my main hesitation!! lol |

From my experiences sliding the ass isn't the hard part, it's the getting the bike realigned before you highside as you release the brakes part |

"From my experiences sliding the ass isn't the hard part, it's the getting the bike realigned before you highside as you release the brakes part" Kinda like falling off a cliff. Falling is easy...you just fall. Landing is tricky. |

I haven't spoken to Cory about this but I assume he will continue competing in the Chinese Championship. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=999573 093401362&id=875553365803336 |

I recieved this PM from Splitlath. "Hi Hank, yes we are continuing our racing programme with Cory and the Pan Delta Series. Obviously the closing of EBR has made things more difficult, but hopefully we can gather enough sponsor support to see this season through. We just didn't see the point in giving up and going home, we've come so far and achieved so much already! Thank you for your support, it means a great deal to us!!!" |

not surprising...1190rx's crush other bikes if the budgets are small Now there is the RUB... There are club racers running superstock and superbike on limited budgets who have been cleaning up with the RX/RS yet there has been so little success against the mega teams with multi million dollar backing. I just don't get how Super Stock in the WERA and other Clubs can be the same spec as WSBk SS which was supposed to be the same in Moto America yet the HP and laptimes are simply not in the same ballparks. I'm not talking riders, I mean the bikes. The factory Kawi and Ducati EVO teams were crushing the private teams last year even though the bikes should for all intents and purposes been spec machines. |

Classax, I am so sick of your agreeable attitude and generally similar disposition to my own....... But in all seriousness, if you are willing to tear a motor down and refurbish every single week, with 8 motors on standby, you can find some extra power. |

Actually in this case the private EBR team who won are racing against a full factory Yamaha effort with last year's champion rider! But without a doubt the Yamaha China Superbike effort is certainly lower budget than a typical large company WSBK budget. But I'll bet it is a lot higher than Splitlath's! |

With two different riders for Splitlath, even though the EBR won again twice the Yamaha rider will likely win the rider championship since I think he has three seconds and a third. But cool that Mark Aitchison stepped up so well, and hopefully Splitlath can do the rest of the races and have a shot at a team championship...if such exists.. |
