I suppose you imagine that the riders make the decisions on whether or not to file a formal protest on their own, and the team as a body has nothing to do with it? Show me where either of them exhibited the poor sportsmanship displayed by Miller or Lorenzo. Go ahead and cite the instance, I've got the MotoGP multiscreen video pass, I'd be glad to verify your claims for you. The Marquez brothers are winners and it seems some people just don't like it, whether it be some irrational dislike toward a manufacturer or maybe their guy just didn't make it onto the podium... Sour grapes make for sour whine. |

There is no doubt about Marquez' aggressiveness. I think it caught alot of the top riders off guard in the beginning. I dont think it is outside the realm if competitive racing, though. In fairness it will be nice to see someone else who is willing to make the same risks. It may lead to all of offs though. Definitely looking forward to 2015. |

Yes indeed 2015 will be a whole new ballgame. I am hoping some of the other riders will follow Rossi's examples and step it up a few notches. Wouldn't it be something to see him achieve his 10th world title! |

I don't think you have any idea what I imagine. The Marquez boys have had clashes with a number of people. Lorenzo, Espargaro, Pedrosa, Miller, to name a few. I only comment on races that I have seen on video or have personally attended. Usually, I infer from events I have personally seen. You state that the Marquez boys are winners. I agree, but Simoncelli was a high performer as well and equally aggressive. I opine that as entertaining as it is, the culture that Marques the elder displayed in Moto 2 was not really of benefit to the sport. That said, I look forward to quite a few clashes between Alex and Jack over the next three or four years. |

So it looks as though MotoAmerica will be the "Support Races" at the two events in the US (Austin and Indianapolis), and not sidecars as was originally rumored. I'm disappointed I won't get to see sidecar races, but I am looking forward to seeing Superbikes on the same track as the MotoGP racers. Also hoping to see some EBRs in action again. I am DEFINITELY going back to Indianapolis now! |

I just realized that MotoAmerica hasn't announced WHICH series will be the support classes at Indy and Austin. It may be the new RC390 class (like the Red Bull Rookies Cup they ran as a support class the first two years we were there). |

Looks like HRC boss asked Stoner to race and he said no again. I miss the rider just not the personality |

From what I've read, we'll have to wait for the second test for that. |

Even with their current transmission, Rossi was leading the time sheets up till the very end when you-know-who put in his last fast lap to demoralize everyone. |

Old Man Rossi fastest Day 1 of Sepang 2. Haven't seen confirmation yet of whether he and Lorenzo have the new seamless transmission or not. |

Looks like they DO have the new seamless transmission, at least from Rossi's post-practice debriefing. And what's up with Melandri? He seems to be just "mailing it in" lately. If he didn't want to be in MotoGP, why did he make the jump?? |

He wanted a paycheck. I think Melandri was offered the MotoGP job or nothing. I think racing jobs that pay are kind of rare over there. |

That makes sense, but I would think if he wants to CONTINUE receiving a paycheck, he better step up his game! |

I've got my dollar up on the wall again, the same dollar that hung up there all last year... I'm letting it ride.

Looks interesting for this year. As for Melandri.... he's an old guy that's been riding superbikes for the last few years and is now on an uncompetitive Aprilia with a younger and hungrier teammate. What did you expect? He was slow when he left MotoGP and hasn't got any faster while riding road bikes. |

Melandri was slow on the Ducati in MotoGP, but EVERYONE whose name wasn't "Casey Stoner" was too. When he rode the unsupported Kawasaki ("Hayate") he did a whole lot better and even got podiums. He was always one of the fastest (though unfortunately, also erratic) riders in WSBK when he got there too. I'm very surprised at his poor performance now. |
