I don't doubt what Cory's saying, but Geoff May was running traction control on his 1190RS late last season in AMA Superbike. I wonder why they didn't carry it over? |

Here's a link to footage I recorded yesterday. I hope it gets a decent amount of views, enough to allow me to continue to record their events. Please share the link on any other boards you guys are on, all the support is appreciated. Heres the video of the race: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cnsjkyij8y4 |

Fuzzz, Formula Pacific is the premier class. Bikes are basically unrestricted (if you had a motoGP bike, it would be legal). You're thinking of Formula 40. |

Just posted on EBR Facebook page "Excellent rides by Cory West this weekend at Sonoma. Not without issues, but that is what racing is about. In the Formula Pacific round, Cory ran his way up from the back of the pack to finish 3rd, which was great. Cory had not ridden the EBR 1190 on the track prior to Saturday, and did a great job learning fast. In qualifying for Sunday's race however, he had opted to not replace the front tire (small budget!), and fell pretty hard on a flying lap. So he had to start from well back again. About two laps into the Superbike shootout, his front master cylinder reservoir fell loose, hanging upside down by the hose (bolt not tightened in the rebuild frenzy after the crash), so he had to ride the rest of the race with more and more air getting mixed into the brake fluid, pumping up the brakes for every corner. So his lap times were several seconds off his best, but he brought home a 7th. "Never give up" at it's best!" |

Cory got a little bit of a gift when Ricky Corey, AFM #1, let off the throttle after he thought the race was over with two laps to go. This allowed West to move up to third and Toye to Forth. |

Man, that's a pretty impressive performance by Cory considering the issues he was working with. Will he be able to make it to the 3rd round of the shootout? |

Vik, Neat. Such power. The man with the mic in front of all the people. And your fly is zipped too. Court is taking notes. |

Last I heard from Cory, they are not planning to do the Miller race. As I understand it K & L came up with the extra budget money for Sonoma because they are in that area and wanted him to be at that race. The original team budget was based on AMA events only. |

I am afraid that the budget to go to a race is many times higher than the tires we helped Cory with last year. |

I was there. On Saturday looked for Jeff (Stirz007) in the garage and didn't see him. Also couldn't find anyone that knew of a Buell or EBR at the track. Any way I did see what looked like one 1125 in one of the twins races Sunday and looked like he did well. I had to catch a plane early that day so I didn't get to visit. I was impressed with the KTM. Fillmore was great. But of course the R1's were dominant. Also enjoyed the other racing going on at Miller with all 3 road courses in use for big car road racing and gokarts too. The pit area is giant and everyone shares it staying in their own areas. What a complex that place is. And it only cost $12 for the two days. |
