Is anybody here going to Indy for the Moto GP or the Mile? I have great seats for both. At the Speedway, I'm sitting in section E Penthouse front row, and at the Fairgrounds, I have a front row seat in the Grandstands for the Mile. I also bought the Track lap for the Speedway. If they had a track lap available for the Mile, I'd buy one in a heartbeat. Riding around a Mile track on a streetbike at maybe 40 or 50 MPH really makes you appreciate how much skill the Experts have to hit speeds of 130+ MPH. Anyhow, I'm heading out from Massachusetts right after work on Wednesday afternoon, and hope to be at my motel in Indy on Thursday night. Maybe I'll see some of you folks there. | ||

We're leaving Monday early, heading to Cherokee/the Gap for a couple days, then on to Indy on Thursday. We have suite tickets and tickets outside turn one up high. Hope to see you there. I packed my bike yesterday.  | ||

We'll be there Friday through Sunday. Have seats in the "B" Penthouse by the first turn at the end of the straight. Nice and shaded on race day with a wonderful view of the first several turns. We even sprung for Paddock passes on Saturday. This should be GREAT! Hoping this won't be the last time, but it isn't looking good. | ||

Fasted & I will be on-site for the Fri short track/vintage races in addition to The Mile & MotoGP we'll bunk with the Ducati Owners Club folks at the Drury, north of the Speedway plus the "Cycle World" rolling vintage concours what a weekend! | ||

I am in Indy! Tomorrow, there's a lot to see during the day at the Speedway, but tomorrow evening, I get to ride the track for a Parade Lap! It'll be at a much slower speed than any of the competitors, but I'll still be able to ride my motorcycle on the track at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway! | ||

Got in at around 4:30 local time. 800 miles in two days on a scooter! I love it. Staying at the Motel 6 in Speedway. Had dinner at the Union Jack across the street and it is still slowly digesting. Too early to go to sleep, so I figured I'd do some "surfing." | ||

Jeremy McWilliams at age 45+ and right behind the leader (right now) Steve Rapp in the HD1200. Please correct me but I thought I saw that the TV would carry that race on Saturday at 4:20 pm and on Sunday at 3:00 pm. I seem to have lost the link and I am in the middle of nowhere getting home. Looks like a race worth seeing. I will drop in later this evening or tomorrow am. | ||

EBR is at the Speedway. In the vendor garages. they have 3 1190 RS models on display Two that Carbon Fiber and one Red/Carbon. they aren't giving out any info about when the new bikes are being released, nor are they saying which models. They did have a lot of nice swag, and I bought a hat. I ran into Jerry & Carol (Mr & Mrs 04 Buell) while I was there, then they disappeared into the crowd while I was paying for my hat. There was no official announcement, but the panel at the Cycle World Discussion (Kevin Cameron, Randy Mamola, & others) all seemed pretty positive about Moto GP returning to Indy. I hope they're right. I rode a "Parade lap" of the track, last evening. I only hit 90 MPH on the front straight. The first turn is off camber, but you'd never notice that either while watching on TV or even spectating in the stands. Rossi's crash here in '09 now makes more sense. Today, it's back out to the Speedway for Practice and Qualifying and the Sportster race. Tonight is the Mile! I'm having more fun than should be allowed! Don't tell the Government; they'll try to tax it.  | ||

yeah, that was a great race! I was hanging in the H-D of Bloomington pits with McWilliams' crew & family & had a super time, especially so when he won the Sat race to my mind, 1 of the repeatedly cool IMS H-D conventions is the annual Finish Line foto gathering of XR1200 riders & machines | ||
