Who is going to be at the track Friday and Saturday. I plan on getting there Friday afternoon and camping at the track just as last year and the year before that and so on... IS their a designated Buell/EBR Area selected yet? | ||

Since I'll be a little late on Friday, Anyone putting up a Buell/RBR Ten Zone Sign? Last year we were straight back the in-trance road right of the restrooms. which was handy. The closer to the fence the better... Please save me a truck size spot and a two man tent area... I'm bring Fire wood. I can grab charcoal and stop at Sams on the way if needed. Ok, looks like I will most likely go. Several of my friends from my club are considering going, which will be a great help. Nothing has changed about getting correct info for tickets. it is the usual Charlie Foxtrot. All they know about is the $325.00 whole week ticket set. Show up Thursday or Friday at the tunnel entrance with some cash. They will sell you a ticket for that day. The next morning, you can go out and come back and get the ticket for that day. That is the easiest way to do it, especially if you plan on going out the gate to see the displays and take some test rides. I will be taking the mighty pavement shredding Honda 110 for pit duty this year. This is all assuming the plan comes together, my boss has encouraged me to take a few days off...fingers crossed. | ||

Since badweb is raising money to basically sponsor Cory West his tire bill, he has mentioned a special treat for badwebers that show up to the race. Nothing for sure yet but he has mentioned a tour of the race hauler/pits and possible a sit down meal with Cory but first, we have to get him there! Come on guys!! | ||

Yeah. I get why they *tried* to turn the 600 class into the premier class... but it clearly didn't work and isn't going to work. Is the only reason it's still the class for the Daytona 200 because nobody can make a 1000cc class tire that won't kill somebody? | ||

Unless they change this year that is why the Superbikes don't race on part of the banking. I think I read somewhere to run the Superbikes they would have to do tire changes ever 10 to 12 laps. | ||

The reason the banking is so hard on tires is that on the banking you are pulling 2 1/2 gs at 195 mph. That means that the bike and rider weigh 2 1/2 times more than when at rest. Think of it like if you overloaded your truck that much and ran 195 mph. I don't think the tires would last long. I have seen tires on Cory's bike back when he was riding Superbike that would scare you to death after only a few laps of practice back 2004 when they were using the whole track for the 200 on Superbikes. He was running Bridgestones then and they just had to give up and release him from his contract and allow him to run Pirellis for the 200. | ||
