Impressive to say the least. I have raced an M2, S1, vrscd, and a barely street legal v rod and the times you guys are running are impressive. My goal is to ride my bike to the track and give the crotch rockets some serious competition. if you guys are in the low 9's that is awesome. i guess the question of the hour is how much have you done to your 1125's to get them there? mid to low 9's can do a lot of damage with a decent rider you can send those boys home scratchin their heads. |

No engine mods at all. Joe has lots of twinmotorcycles dyno time invested in his tune up,EBR exhaust and lots of time and money spent to lose weight,plus he's light himself. My motor is bog standard,APH exhaust.a couple of days on the dyno with ecmspy. My bike is 50lb heavier than Joe's. I now have a hays convertible clutch that's allowing me to launch harder,slowly creeping up on a setup that'll lower the 60'times,at the mo it's costing me 1/10th in the 60' but giving me a couple back by 330'. |

i am about 180lbs but am used to doing a ton of motor work to get any times outa the old airheads and the v rod is such a heavy pig. looking to switch out wheels and brakes for buells 35lb savings battery 13lb savings inner fender 4-6lbs and have already lost 35+ on exhaust which still makes it heavy by sportbike standards. i totally understand it is not a sportbike but i had no idea anyone was racing the 1125's and being that competitive. much faster way to the kind of times i am looking for. i will work much harder to not be just like the rest of those easy way japsters. very encouraging. those times are with no spray or any high compression pistons, and head work? amazing potential! |

Engine work is already underway,had a pair of heads skimmed,waiting for new rods. starting to get bored waiting for the 1190 bigbore kit so might have to talk to 1125mike about his. I think the rotax has great potential,a few issues to iron out but we'll go quicker yet. i could do with losing weight off the bike and myself..I'm giving Joe 150lb...I'm 5'11" and 210lb he's ...a midget lol No spray allowed in our class...yet I'm putting a rotax in a chromoly frame this winter. Plus have further plans for the streetbike. |

so where do i get the info to get started? i obviously need to lower, drop weight where possible, lockup or centrifigul clutch, swingarm, ecm-pc or ? , exhaust, filter mod, 1190? , heads?,! i planned close to 10 grand i have sorta set aside and hope this would be feasible since i have seen the bikes listed for 5 and sometimes a little less. i assume it is beneficial to have the fairing of the r instead of the cr. air shifter, dead man switch, shift light?, holy shit i am stoked! |

batty - more info on what youre putting the motor in? Ive thought for a long time that a drag frame with this motor would fly! I cant afford to sacrifice my daily rider (1125R), so its good to see others living out my dreams hah |

Don't need to do anything to the motor.EBR programmeble ECM-Joe- or standard with ECMspy-me-...If you go ECM spy I'd happily give you a tune that's run 9s. A lighter better exhaust,chain conversion and longer arm.Lose any weight you can,Joe has the lightweight mag wheels. If you're light enough or crazy enough you can leave the clutch alone.I've invested in a hand slider cos even half throttle launches were giving me wheelies and tyre slip..shinko hook up or power one rear. Can bypass and lose the oil cooler,race body...I made my own.The list is endless,but you don't need engine work. If I hadn't had such a bad time with the clutch I would have had chance to try a bit of spray at the end of the season. was gonna try a dry set up,after fitting new 650cc injectors....you won't do it on standard ones. chassis is a Dave Branch engineering comp bike chassis,full chromoly originally built for a triumph me and Albert have been toying with the idea of building a better swingarm chassis. The standard swingarm pivot is going to have to be moved to get better launches.But I'm working on a plan for that too. |

anybody know if a vrod swingarm would fit the 1125r? only askin because i have an extra one. is the ebr exhaust the exhaust l have? where does the weight come off. i see you are strapping the front end down. is the factory clutch hold up and what kind of computer program recomended?> sorry to be such a pain in the ass. i would just love to be kickin some jap ass by next season. need to get my list going! i am hella excited! |

I doubt any other swingarm will fit the 1125,you'll have to modify or make your own,or DME make a few options. Tuning wise,if you have the cash buy the EBR programable ecm and software. If you're cheap like me then use ECMspy or TunerPro. Standard clutch handles the power fine,but I couldn't get off the line consistently,so I went slider. You lose weight in all of the usual ways,dump standard bodywork,battery. replace heavy nuts and bolts with aluminum or titanium. Dump oil cooler,replace front caliper with xb one. No magic just work and $$$$$$ kerching!!! |
