This is a big blow for them. AFM runs Buttonwillow, Infineon, and Thunderhill, but that's some serious commuting to get to those. There's the Chuckwalla racing league too, but that's a pretty decent drive as well. Sure would be nice if some big buck fat cat came in there and just bought the whole facility from them and fixed it up a bit. I am in utter disbelief of the WSMC shut down and really don't know what to say. I feel extremely sorry for racers like Steve and Rob who have invested so much off season time and money just to get ONE race in. Next race with WERA is Vegas next weekend. I can't swing it. Missing 2 points races with WERA is tough but you gotta do what you gotta do. Club road racing has turned into a luxury instead of a hobby.
