Last weekend we had a double header race at Firebird Raceway. It was my first race on the Buell and it was great but not as great as I would have liked. Saturday I was running in the 12.2s but my reaction time was poor so I decided to deep stage. First round I raced a Busa dialed at 8.65. No margin of error for me so I dialed a 12.35. I ran a 12.31 and lost. I was disappointed going out in round 1 but there was always Sunday. On Sunday I was feeling good qualifying in the top half of the ladder. Dialed a 12.35 and won the first round. Second round I had the same Busa and dialed a 12.30. Had a much better reaction time than him but freak'n wheeled off the line and couldn't run my number. Trying to get the stretch done before the Divisional at the end of this month because it is a first time double header race for division 7. It would be great to have two divisional races in the same weekend. Just need to get my parts otherwise it is March before I race again. Oh well we will see. |

What elevation is the track? How much is your cargo weight? I run similar times at an elevation of about 4700 feet. |

The corrected elevation was about 2300'. I weigh about 200# with gear and a full gas tank full to prevent wheelies. I am running a 2001 Lightning with a stock wheelbase. I will have my chain conversion parts Thursday and can't wait to get my stretch installed because the divisional double header is at the end of the month. As far as pics go here is one of the bike at the track.

For some reason I thought you were on an 1125, your times are even more impressive on an air-cooled! |

Yeah, I know, but I was thinking he was on a high elevation track... closer to a mile high. |
