My first time out at the drags with my CR. I wasn't trying to set any records or anything, but i had fun hanging the front wheel on three gears. There were only 3 bikes there. My 1125CR, a 2009 R6, and a slammed and extended 2010 ZX-12R with nitrous and a quick-shifter. Max time and speed is 6.00 and 115MPH. The ZX was averaging 6.5 at 110. He was sandbagging hard. The guy on the R6 had never raced, so he was averaging 8.2-8.4 at 96-99 MPH. My runs were as follows: 1 R:0.917 60ft:1.913 MPH:103.44 ET: 7.502 2 R:0.926 60ft:1.989 MPH:106.12 ET: 7.277 3 R:0.687 60FT:4.181 MPH:105.63 ET:9.611 I stalled coming off the line. 4 R:0.865 60FT:2.066 MPH:105.63 ET: 7.439 I bogged pretty bad off the line, mostly due to the stall on the previous run. Grrrr... 5 R:0.909 60FT:2.042 MPH:105.88 ET: 7.411 6 R:0.839 60FT:2.147 MPH:105.13 ET: 7.665 7 R:0.780 60FT:2.011 MPH:100.00 ET: 7.968 I missed the 1-2 shift, slipped into neutral. Oops. 8 R:0.743 60FT:2.222 MPH:105.63 ET: 7.711 Not too bad for my first time with the CR. I'm gonna have to work on my launch and reaction times. A couple videos i shot with the gopro: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmZfaOgp_lE&feature =youtu.be http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jLeYdeNDiAU&feature =youtu.be |

It was awesome. I love dragging my bike, but my heart lies in the twisties. I was staging the bike around 3,000, but my clutch work sucked. Barely got the front wheel up on takeoff a few times. I'm gonna have to practice more so I can launch harder. I still think I can get into the high 6 second range. Reaction time would help a ton too. |
