While getting ready to order my new engine kill I realized that my EBR ECM doesn't have the side stand kill enabled. Which is where I was going to wire the kill. So this opens up a couple of things I can do. I can send my ECM back to EBR for reprogramming, or I can use my stock ECM and a new powercommander. I'm really leaning toward the power commander and old ECM because of the tune ability it offers. On a side note, my rear valve cover has been leaking for a while and I'm going to fix that when I do the valve adjustment in a couple of weeks. Question is, doesn't EBR have some base and head gaskets that bump the compression ratio up a couple of points? I know I read that somewhere. Think the increase in power would be worth the trouble? |

If this is just a regular tethered engine kill it should just have two wires that you wire in series with your kill switch on your handle bar. This way when you pull the tether it kills the bike just like turning the switch off. I am not sure on an 1125 motor but on the evo motors you can just leave the base gasket of and use silicone gasket (very thin coat) to serve that purpose. This is not recommended on a bike that you ride but drag racing where most likely you will tear it apart at least yearly a lot of people do this. Hope this helps. |

Thanks Willie, the engine kill Im talking about is for the air shifter. Which I guess would be clear if I called it what it is. Thats another benefit to the power commander. in addition to all the tuning it provides, It can be set to kill the fuel and works really well with the nc2 nitrous controller. the bike is still going to be a daily driver, so I'm going to need gaskets. I have heard of people tossing them tho. |

Bank Angle Sensor (or tip over switch). Use those wires for your kill. They are used for the quick shifter in the ECM. |
