Due to an injury I need to sell my Buell XB12R race bike. It was race built by James Gang Racing and Hoban Brothers. It was the 2008 TC national champion. In my old hands it was a regional champion in LW GP and LW F40. This is a strong very dependable bike. Some of its features are aftermarket cartridge and springs in front forks.(either penske or trackaddix). Penske three way rear shock with extra springs, lightened frame, carbon fiber XBRR front fairing, carbon fiber front fender, carbon fiber heal guards, licensed factory racer ECU (with cables and software) 07 XB12 1203CC motor with 08 lightened crank (much more stronger and durable than 03 through 07 cranks) the lightening makes it rev quicker, flowed heads, high compression piston, racing clutch, has 12 primary to provide better power band, Hals chain drive conversion and quick change rear brake assembly. Bike includes three complete front wheels and two complete rear wheels, a set of Bridgestone rains (five laps) three extra front sprockets (19 through 23), stock plastic fairing and rear. I'm asking $4900 obo. This is a really cheap price for a racer or trackdayer. Of course you could probably find a tired street bike for around $3,000 and watch everyone disappear down the track ahead of you, then you could spend another $5K to start to get competitive or just get something already proven and with a solid history of being a reliable winner with a bunch or extra parts for only $4900. |

wish I had the spare funds. I know this bike pretty good as I have work on it with James Gangs Crew Chief, Mike. Great deal on a great bike. |

And its gone!! yeah sniff sniff. It took thirty five years for the planets to align so I could return to road racing. I got hooked in 73 after doing one while stationed in Texas. Then with a lapse of not following safety rules (blend line) maybe not going to the riders meeting to learn about the blend line at a new track or just a loss of focus for a half second my career gets ended. Then again, me being at my home track and maybe acting a little nonchalant played a role also. I guess Maladin was right Alpha wasn't safe at HPT. Not trying to be bitter, only enlightening to the new crowd. I had good successes and memories. After 6 months I got the brace off my ankle and have 80% movement in my right arm, but basically no strength above my shoulder. I hope to be close to normal in another 9 months, but my injuries won't take another round of battering at my age. |
