Good question, I want to know the same. I push 250 pounds with all the gear and have so far made a 12 flat, but nothing more. I think I lose at least a second on my launches, but I did just start two weeks ago. With my weight I know it isn't realistic to think I could go under 10 seconds on a stock CR. But maybe 11 seconds? |

As you guys will keep hearing, practice, practice and practice. I would imagine 60' times are going to vary based on the bike, track and rider. I have seen some 1.4's to 1.5's posted from the 1125 platform. Stock wheel base bikes may not see those numbers however I would think 1.6's should be possible. Mike1125 and Littlebutquick both (as well as others) ran their bikes with stock wheel bases prior to extending them. I believe Joe had some good short numbers (he and his bike weigh very little). I had a missed shift from 1st to 2nd on a run this week. Another car team mechanic was watching and mentioned that he saw me slide backwards and thought that might have been why I missed the shift. I wasn't really aware of it but trust that he saw it. Upon reviewing my times my 60 foot was a full tenth quicker than any of my other runs this entire season! If it had not been for the missed shift I may have had my quickest ET yet. I did not wheelie on this run either. Oh the things one learns in this sport. |
