I need a favor, can someone please post me a picture of Race Clip ons, I need to put some on cause of the ram air system I have and decided I will be using Woodcraft but would like to see what you guys done with controls and things like that.

I have a 2003 XB9R and any advise is appreciated

you did the cutting of the top clamp yourself, dont seem that complicated to cut.

don't run the split or 3 piece clip ons from woodcraft-I made that mistake and while I haven't got to run them yet and they look and feel very nice, but at full lock to lock the mounts will pierce the frame in an accident.

I cut my top clamp with a porta band, and then turned it down on the mill.

The stock tree has too much turning radius
for clip-on's. The easiest fix is to weld up the stops on the lower tree. This will give you more adjustment of your bars and keep
your thumbs from getting smashed ! It might prevent damage described above. This also should be done if you are using the Ohlins
under mount steering damper as it has less travel then the stock stops.

yep, that's what my solution was going to be, as I wouldn't need that much turning other than in the pits/garage, just haven't gotten to it yet...
