I'll be riding up Hwy. 1 on Friday and staying in Gilroy. Will be at the track both Saturday and Sunday. | ||

Most of us "usual suspects" will be camping at the Love Shack We always leave Thurs PM and overnight in Paso Robles - gets away from the Coastal route and takes in some sweet back roads. Paso to Laguna is barely 2 hours. | ||

The Sandy Eggo crowd comes up the Coastal Route - and does Thurs nite in San Luis Obispo and ride in to the track early Friday. We ride the twisties from Palmdale/Lancaster. | ||

Next year I'm getting that week off. Im only going to make it Sunday. My boss keeps rubbing it in that he'll be there all weekend. Not to mention I can't play hookey as the boss will be there..oh well see you guys Sunday! | ||

Twitter feed from Erik Buell Racing this morning (or yesterday) says Shawn Higbee riding the 1125r in sportbike, and Geoff in the superbike. Nothing so far in terms of updates on them today. | ||

Looks like Geoff had a very solid practice, but the Superbike field is very deep with Pridmore, Chris Peris, E. Bostrom, M. Duhamel and others joining the field. Geoff was 1.5 seconds off the leaders until Hayden made a big push at the very end of practice and jumped into the lead. As it stood, Geoff was in 10th place, but a solid 10th. The key point is he was ahead of the people he has been battling so far this year: Ulrich, Knapp and McCormick were all behind him. He needs to get past that tier of riders before he can really start mixing it up with the top tier. It looks like he's making some real progress toward that goal. Because of the depth of the field, this will be the toughest race for a good placing, but it is also the best Geoff has looked in an early practice. A tenth place finish in this race, while not apparently much progress on paper, would be a very encouraging result considering the depth of this particular field. | ||

I'm a dumb@$$. I didnt buy my ticket and now they aren't available online. I will have to search for it. Does anybody know if you can still get a parking pass somehow? The website looks like if I don't have a prefered parking pass I have to park far away and take a bus.. Teach me to procrastinate.. | ||

I am wondering where the "love shack" is located. My wife and I were riding down but she crashed in Idaho and I spent 2 days there getting her back home, so I'm coming solo. I have already paid for ticket for Sat and sunday as well as pit pass, so if anyone needs it let me know. Jim thanks. I was worried the was it's writen on the web site, ahh. Any way to get a pit pass at this point? Or maybe I could borrow one? see you guys there. If anybody wants to ride in from the bay give me a shout. I'll be coming from Pittsburg. |
