Anybody ever try using it? Did you need to remap? Thanks |

You almost certainly will have to remap. You can probably get somewhat close by bumping your Global Fuel up a small amount. For carbs, VP recommends bumping main and pilot jets as much as +2 ... so you really ought to do a couple dyno pulls regardless. Shoot VP a note, they have been pretty responsive in the past. I assume you are running open loop (no oxygen sensor) - this is leaded fuel. |

I've used U4 before and yes you'll definitely need a remap, actually quite a bit. That fuel is heavily oxygenated. It makes great power. In my experience about a 6 hp gain on a 120 HP bike when mapped correctly! It's 103-105 motor octane so only use for under 12.5:1 compression. No matter what VP says though, always drain the fuel. It will become sticky and gum up the pump and injectors as well as eat o-rings. As far as the 02 sensor, Slaughter is correct it's leaded. You have to use a Bosch sensor made to run with leaded fuels. Make sure you tell your tuner, otherwise he'll be pissed when his 02 sensor gets burnt up. I always hated when people didn't tell me. |

Flyboy, I did some dyno testing on my 1125R before Daytona, I tried VP U4.2, and Powermist TO137 (both oxygenated fuels) and 93 octane pump gas. I remapped for the VP and Powermist and when all was said and done it made the most HP on....................... 93 octane pump gas!!!! So guess what gas goes in my bike now. |

Thanks guys....I've decided to stick with pump gas for now...once I have the bike(hopefully Friday) I can see how it runs and go from there. |
