yea, I am familiar with how the shock is mounted. I looked at it once and remember it being somewhere toward the back of the bike . Anyway , they are made for the xb's and thought maybe someone had a lead on them for the 1125. edit: I understand that the term 'link' should really be 'mount' (Message edited by Bott on May 07, 2010) |

No prob...hey,if you order one could you post up pics? I am assuming it must be a triangular mount that moves the shock mounting above but behind the stock mounting eye. Thanks, Pauly |

Will do. It'll probaly be awhile, it will be for wifes bike, just wondering how much lower it will really put it. She would rather be able to put both feet flat on ground. And yes I do know that lowering changes things but she not an agressive rider so no worries there. |

1buell1125r, what XB does your wife have? You could pick up a used XB9SL/XB12SCG shock to lower it cheap. |

Bott: an inch might be plently "lol" but gonna have to have her sit on it and look at feet i guess to see if its worth it. froggy: 09 XB12R what info might you have on the other shocks as far as lowering more |

Raid the classifieds and ebay, you can get the parts off an XB9SL or XB12SCG (same stuff). You can do the front and rear suspension, you would need the rear shock, front forks and the shorter kick stand. This guy recently did the swap to his wifes XB9S, so he has the normal height stuff up for sale. (No use for you, but just saying) http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/21/ 562563.html?1273370385 |
