I don't think it was ever changed. Are you getting confused by the schedule listing times in Pacific time? The good news is you haven't missed anything. |

>>>I'm seeing a top 10 today! That would be an "off the charts" success for a company that doesn't have enough employees to form a flag football team. I can't wait to see this and have my fingers crossed. |

I got to meet Geoff today. Nice guy, not only was he racing the Buell, he was selling the man and the brand as well. Someone asked the signifigence of the #99 it was his fathers # when he raced cars. The 1190 looked AWESOME in person. So much better than the pics. Meet a lot of great Buell folks, saw some I hadn"t seen for awhile. all in all a great day. |

+1 on Elena Meyers finish. Four years ago, when she was twelve years old, she and her family came to the Kart track in McMinnville OR. The facility plays host to YSR's, Pocket Bikes and various other classes suitable for the track. In both heat races and the final I could not pass this twelve year old little girl. She learned the track quickly, she was smooth, and held very fast, consistent lines lap after lap. At the end of the final race I pulled up next to her in the pits, told her congratulations and that "someday I hope I'll be as fast as you." She giggled and said thanks. It's been great to watch her career grow. She has written a great series of articles in Roadracing World and has been exposed to some great talent in her young years. Congratulations once again to you Elana, and to your parents for bringing up a very talented and respectful young lady. Chris |

If anybody is wondering how Russ Wikle is doing after his lowside in DSB race 2, here is some (kinda) good news.. 6 broken ribs, a ruptured spleen, bruised liver and a partially collapsed lung. As bad as it sounds, he's doing great! Refused painkillers, talking on the phone, flirting with the nurses, etc http://forums.13x.com/showthread.php?t=253899 |

Get well soon. At my age, I would be in the hospital for three weeks, on all pain medicine, and then limping around for another couple of months...Kids heal quick |

In the Saturday race Geoff missed turn two I believe twice. That is where his big lap time came in. But he came back and made a great showing any ways.

These motorcycles on the other hand are just pure sex! I don't care what pictures you have seen, they don't compare to actually seeing the bike in person.

A few more picts- The "other motorcycles" that I counted were 3 BMW S100RR's, 1 Aprilia RSV4, and of course the Buell 1125RR. I just love a diversity of manufactures.
The man- Josh Hayes, after a very successful weekend.
Shawn Higbee on the "Silent Assassin" motorcycle.

>>>I just love a diversity of manufactures. I agree. Racing is threatening to become a fun spectator sport again. This stuff is heading in the direction of the good ol Parker-Carr-Springsteen shootouts. I love watching Danny Eslick ride and even after Suzuki bought (they were not ABOUT to let him, Cory or Taylor win on a Buell this year and put their money where their mouth was . . likely a smart move) the "Buell Riders" i love watching the various brands. I hope BMW and Aprillia continue to improve . . we could see a new pecking order. |

"This stuff is heading in the direction of the good ol Parker-Carr-Springsteen shootouts." +1 Court, but your showing you age. LOL. I agree, that flat track racing was some of the best I ever witnessed. And isn't it great to see Springer and his team mate Scott Ryan still riding highly competitively in the Suntrust MOTO-GT series on of all things, a Kawasaki twin. I think road racing is again hitting its apex. Great pictures also Brett(Bertman), thanks for sharing. Bob (Message edited by bob_thompson on May 19, 2010) |

Some cool posts by Geoff on his Facebook page. http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/pages/GEOFF-MAY /79637702922?ref=ts For those who don't have access, he says, regarding riding for Erik Buell Racing: "Riding for Erik, is like racing for Mr Suzuki back in the day before suzuki really took off. I consider this the most important ride of my career. I feal honored to carry the Buell flag." And regarding the testing at miller (leading up to next weekends "Superbike Challenge"): "At Miller riding the 1190.Good news, its the fastest bike I have ever ridden. WOW!" |
